The study results, published in the January/February issue of the American Journal of Health Behavior, found that over half of the 7th grade students receiving abstinence education refrained from sexual behaviors. Concerned Women of America President Wendy Wright says Kaine made a "terrible" decision when he chose to pull funding from abstinence education programs -- due to what he termed a need for budget cuts.

I would not tout that nearly half of 7th graders having sex is a success for abstinence education.

Schools have no business teaching any kind of sexual activity, abstinence or otherwise. That's a parent's job. My tax $$ should not have to pay for people who don't live up to their parental responsibility.

Keep sex education out of schools.
