Gov't encroachment on America's healthcare system

    ...."On page 199 of Daschle's book, he says ..., 'Doctors and patients might resent any encroachment on their ability to choose certain treatments, even if they are expensive or ineffective compared to alternatives.' That's what he says," Moffit points out. "Well, you know, why does he insist on a reform of American's healthcare system which would deny to doctors and insurers the right to cover or prescribe, or the right of patients to choose the medical treatments or procedures that they think is best for them, given their particular medical history or their profile?"....
