GRACIA BURNHAM TAPES THANKSGIVING TO ALL WHO PRAYED (Undated-AP) -- This Thanksgiving, freed missionary Gracia (GRAY'-shuh) Burnham is giving thanks to everyone who prayed for her and her late husband, Martin. He was killed in the firefight that freed Gracia from the Muslim rebels who held them captive in the Philippines for more than a year. In a free 12-minute video available from Tyndale House publishers, Gracia Burnham says she's still hobbled somewhat by the wounds she suffered during her rescue by Philippine troops. But she says "things are going incredibly well" now for her and their three children in Kansas. In the video, Gracia Burnham recalls saying goodbye to Martin a number of times when it looked like they were about to die. She says they both knew without a doubt that people were praying for them.
