    John Bunyan died almost 319 years ago . Does he qualify as "modern" ? I'm not taking anything away from though . The Tinker was certainly used ( and is still being appreciated ) n a mighty way by the Lord .

    I didn't read where I could have voted for more than one. I voted for H.A.Ironside my number 2 pick would have been A.W.Tozer.

    Favorite writers were not listed. My favorites include CS Lewis, Steve Brown, Tony Campolo, Frederick Beuchner, RC Sproul.

    It's not modern, but Confessions by Augustine is a great book, also Bondage of the Will and Table Talk by Martin Luther.

    I thought my ordination paper was well written... and I totally agreed with the author!!!

    I chose John R Rice...
    I grew up reading his works.

    I voted for charles spurgeon becuase that was the only one that I knew the writings of.
