    John Bunyan died almost 319 years ago . Does he qualify as "modern" ? I'm not taking anything away from though . The Tinker was certainly used ( and is still being appreciated ) n a mighty way by the Lord .

    I didn't read where I could have voted for more than one. I voted for H.A.Ironside my number 2 pick would have been A.W.Tozer.

    It's not modern, but Confessions by Augustine is a great book, also Bondage of the Will and Table Talk by Martin Luther.

    I chose John R Rice...
    I grew up reading his works.

    I voted for charles spurgeon becuase that was the only one that I knew the writings of.
