Well, that is before you (Pipedude) wound up getting "shot in the back", so now you have nothing to do!

I've enjoyed reading all this thread (and getting in a few chuckles at others expense, especially JoJ). Preach on Brother John, C4K, Pipedude, and the rest of so many mostly unsung heroes of the faith. God has you standing in the gap.

    In His grace,

    Ed

I leave town for a few days to attend a missionary family camp with almost 40 missionaries and MK's and what do I find? Brother Ed having fun at my expense. Well, hmpf!

You redeemed yourself though, Ed. Thanks for the kind words.

I would like to nominate Stanley Derickson. He is humble. He is a tent maker. He is modest. He makes his writings available for free. They are clear, concise and extremely intelligently well done.He and fills the pulpits and pastorates of small churches getting on thier feet.He has served as a seminary professor.I lhave never personally had the pleasure or honor of meeting him but I know his work well. I leave you here with access to his site so you too may come to know him.:wavey: [IMG]

Looks like good stuff, POB.

I don't believe Bro. Grant Rice, church planter extraordinaire, has been mentioned. This man has planted or helped to plant literally hundreds of churches all around America. He is a humble man and keeps a low profile, but a true gem of a preacher.

I'm trying to think of British Fundamentalist leaders... C4K, would it go to Ulsterman's head if I nominate him? :)

I will have to agree with you on Johnny Pope. I have heard him preach.

I also have to add my pastor, S.M.Davis. He is asked to preach all over the world and is bringing people back to good old Bible principles.

A few who have influenced me.
    Chuck Colsen, (A Canadian pastor)
    Rick DeMichele (my own pastor)
    Dr. James Lince
    Tim Green (evangelist)
Spencer Baker (young preacher in N. Dakota)
    Joey Faust (pastor in Texas)
James Burnett (pastor in S. Carolina)
Matt Burchard (pastor in N. Idaho)
    John Haveman (pastor in Montana)
    David Potts (pastor in Idaho)
Dan Meaders (missionary to inner city Huston TX)
And the many dozens of missionaries our church supports around the world and here in the States.

Oh....and let's not forget the great men and women who have written great hymns for us to sing!!!!

p.s. someone mentioned James W. Knox in Deland Florida. What a preacher!!! His message "What is seen in the mount of God" is one of the greatest I have ever heard.

BTW... two new sermons are up... and we are trying to update some of the older taped sermons, by transferring them to MP3... Lord Willing.
