Damien is the English spelling; Damiaan is the Belgian pronunciation.

According to most children I know, George Remi [a.k.a.Herge] is the greatest Belgian ever. And Tintin is their greatest hero.

I would have voted for Poirot if he wasn't fictional.

Audrey Hepburn (May 4, 1929 – January 20, 1993) was an Anglo-Dutch actress, fashion model, and humanitarian. Born Audrey Kathleen Ruston in Brussels, Belgium, she was the only child of Joseph Anthony Ruston, an Anglo-Irish banker, and Baroness Ella van Heemstra, a Dutch aristocrat descended from French and English kings.

In honor of this thread, I will be spending Christmas morning having breakfast at Disneyland, and will be having Belgian Waffles at the Carnation Cafe.
