You have no empirical evidence to back up your claim.. But there is plenty of empirical evidence that says otherwise.

What you really have is just an opinion that flies in the face of the facts.

 

Schools, theaters, shopping malls - all places where crowds of innocent people mass and make easy targets. My belief is that gun free zones don't really factor into the shooter's plans. Areas where the most innocent people congregate does.

 

It's very simple. To defend ourselves against a government gone mad.

 

I disagree. Hypothetically speaking, my goal is to kill as many people as I can. I don't choose a police station; why not? Talk about making the news: "Attacked a police station."

I think about a mall; but I also think about how many security guards carry guns. I consider a movie theater; I don't recall the last time I saw a guard, much less an armed one, in a movie theater. I consider schools and playgrounds; why? Maximum effect.

When an armed shooter went on a spree on an Air Force base in Washington state back in the 90's, he went to the hospital. When the wacko at Fort Hood did his thing, he went to the hospital. Why? Multiple factors, including that's where the individuals were receiving treatment or was the focus of their anger; but also because that's the one place on most bases where you're least likely to find armed resistance, thus allowing you to inflict the most damage.

 

There is no reason not to understand that gun free zones do play into decisions made on where to commit mass killings except when you have an agenda to push regardless of reality.

 

Where are the facts that you speak of?

 

What we need is less demon possession and more exorcism instruction. The prince of the power of the air and his minions are still unbridled. Jesus is coming with a bridle.

We live in an armed camp. If we outlaw weapons of protection, only the criminals and crazy ones will survive.

Our problem is we let the criminals go free with little punishment. Many of the crazy ones have been identified--there has been little follow up.

We are reaping what we sowed as an amoral nation. We murder milions of babies before they are born. Not many seem very concerned.

These are signs of the time.

And WHO decides when THIS government has gone mad ? Don't get me wrong, Poncho, I have had rough email exchanges with people who want guns out of the hands of law-abiding citizens while offering no suggestions on what to do with the lawless elements of society with arms, but, really, that answer you gave has gone the cliche way.

This government is getting away with murder, at Benghazi, and Obama is laughing his butt silly at the American people, and everyone is willing to throw themselves under the bus for him, and the State department employees who can shed light to who is accountable for that slaughter in terms of command responsibility and all that jazz, think their retirement benefits at the very least is more important than their integrity.
You can say the same about those generals, and I don't care if they wear the heaviest medals on their chests.

Obama gave his people and most Federal big poohs a raise WITHOUT congressional approval. not to say without any budget being on the works if not passed, and no one gave a hoot about it.

Obama, there's that name again, points to everybody else but himself, and in a nutshell is saying, we're all going over the cliff and under the water, and it's your fault, not mine.

Speaking of gun free zones, an interesting little statistic is that, since 1950, all the spree killings except one have occurred in states that do not allow carrying of weapons on your person, either concealed or open.?
