So many untruths, where to begin!

First, Zimmerman wasn't "stalking" anyone. There is nothing illegal about following a suspicious stranger, especially if you are part of a neighborhood watch.

He possessed a gun legally and you have no idea if he was "itching" to use it.

You obviously didn't watch any of the trial, especially the testimony from the doctors involved with the autopsy.

Suggest you re-look at the trial evidence and testimony.

Yeah, I should have used 'model citizen'. Wait until the judge approves the pics and texts from his phone...

I've followed this case very closely and I am convinced George Zimmerman is innocent. I've watched a lot of the testimony, and read about all of it in detail. The whole reason Mr. Zimmerman was charged was political pressure. Republican Governor Rick Scott appointed Republican State Attorney Angela Corey as special prosecutor to charge Mr. Zimmerman as a result of the pressure.

The State has a laughably weak case and Miss Corey's underlings have done a horrid job prosecuting. In effect, the State's witnesses have, for the most part, backed up Mr. Zimmerman's story. They don't even have a coherent theory of how Trayvon Martin was "murdered"!

    He should have said:

    I’m sorry…

    Please don’t hurt me anymore…

You win, I’m not as bad as I thought I was…

    I thought I was a rough tough cowboy, but I’m not…

    I shouldn’t have bothered you…

    I shouldn’t have chased after you…

    I shouldn’t have approached you…

I shouldn’t have put my hands on you…

I’m just an idiot trying to play cop to build my ego…

I underestimated you, I thought you were just a helpless skinny kid…

    I don’t want anymore trouble…

    I’ve learned my lesson…

    I’ll never do it again…

I have mental issues because of low self esteem…

I thought if I could capture a criminal everything would change…

I have a history of calling 911 that proved this…

I should have listened to the 911 operator…

I should have stayed in my vehicle…

I should have waited until I found someone at least half my size before challenging them…

I should have never jumped to conclusions about you…

I bruise easily and I’m really scared right now…

    I now know I made a big mistake…

Please have mercy on me before I now have to take out my gun because of my cowardliness and kill you…

SO - latest developments. Now the prosecution wants to charge Zimmerman with child abuse. I don't recall that among the list of original charges.

11:11 a.m. ET: Nelson said she will not include that following Martin was a lawful activity. She sternly told West not to continue to disagree after she has made a ruling. The defense will be allowed to tell the jury that following Martin the night of the shooting was lawful activity during closing arguments.

So the judge has now determined that Zimmerman following Martin was legal. What say those that think Zimmerman shouldn't have followed?

For clarification: they want to consider 3rd-degree murder based on child abuse.

I don't see how it could be considered illegal. He's free to follow someone if he chooses. But it's a bad idea for obvious reasons. Unless you're ready to confront the person you're following, let the cops handle it.

What's the purpose in following someone if you're not going to take some sort of action, be it confronting or letting the cops know where you last saw them?
Neighborhood watches were never designed for the neighbors to be placing themselves in a potentially dangerous situation.

Right, they want Third Degree Felony Murder as a lesser included offense. The State is arguing Mr. Martin's death occurred while Mr. Zimmerman was committing aggravated child abuse against him. I think this is a huge stretch and the State just sprung this on the defense and Judge Nelson isn't giving them adequate time to respond. They've done that over and over again and it has to be intentional.

Wow. You absolutely epitomize the low-information voter. This post is astoundingly ridiculous.

And based on that, if he's found guilty of this charge - THAT is a travesty of our justice system.

As this thread is beyond three pages and the trial has moved to the next phase, I am closing this particular tread.
