Pastor Innes and Hamilton Square Baptist Church are located in San Francisco, just a thirty minute drive across the Bay Bridge for Mr. Camping and Family Radio. Here are three messages Pastor Innes brought concerning the non-events of May 21:

What We Can Know For Sure About God AM Service May 15, 2011

What We Know for Sure About God AM Service May 29. 2011

Some here may not agree with all of Pastor Innes' points, but he does give a POV tempered by being in the area for all of Mr. Camping's time on the air.

    Among his observations are:

    1. Mr Camping is an engineer by training. As such, he is a numbers man. This led him to take a close look at the numbers in the Bible and how they related to each other.
    2. He uses an allegorical system of hermeneutics. This led him to see relationships where there were none.

Me: HC's background is Presbyterian\Dutch Reformed.

You won't find me arguing with you on that point.

I'm certain of that. When I heard of him telling folks to get out of the Church, that God told him to tell us that, well...let's say I sorta knew right then he was way off.

    From the "Mailbag" section of World magazine's July 2, 2011 (p. 91):

"When my wife asked if I had read the WORLD article about camping [May 21], I was really excited because I thought that after all these years she was finally interested in going camping. What a disappointment."

He recently had a stroke and was taken to the hospital. He is 89 years old. I don't know what his present condition is now.

Has anyone taken the time to download and listen to the messages linked above? They are MP3s. So, I suggest downloading them and burning them to cds so you can listen to them in your car.
