I believe anyone who would deny a private prayer language denies the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." Romans 8:26. It doesn't come to everyone but to those who receive it, private prayer language is real.

Sounds like Glenn Parker needs to practice what he preaches and study the word.

That verse you quoted states plainly that the Holy Spirit prays for us...not that WE make such "groanings".

Jesus told us exactly how to pray, in words we know and understand...there was no gibberish or "groanings" in how He told us to pray.
    "Our Father in Heaven...".

In other words: "Half of SBC pastors are closet pentecostals."
