    Given these 3 simple statements by NT authors (Ok - one NT author)

    1 Corinthians 7:19
    Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but what matters is the keeping of the commandments of God.

    Ephesians 6
    1
    Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
    2 HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER (which is the
    first commandment with a promise
    ),
    3 SO THAT IT MAY BE WELL WITH YOU, AND THAT YOU MAY LIVE LONG ON THE EARTH.

    Rom 3
    31 Do we then
    nullify the Law through faith? May it never be! On the contrary, we establish the Law.

    And given the fact in the OP that D.James Kennedy, Swindoll, Stanley, Sproul etc have all had a series on the Ten Commandments both at their local congregation and via nation wide radio programs --

    Is it really "justified" to say that we should not be allowed to focus on this topic for a weekend as a Christian community?

    That seems a bit extreme to me.

    In Christ,

    Bob
