Being an obnoxious snob doesn't necessarily make him wrong.

Boston is full of snobs. East Coast cities are excruciating.

Yankee rednecks are snobs, too. We look down our nose at you if you drive anything but a Chevy truck and shoot one of them non-Remington rifles.

He's a Harvard professor. He deserves an title fitting of his position ans stature: Equus africanus asinus

I grew up in Orange, Mass. Far from the city. What you say might be true, but I bet somebody who needed his car jump started would have a shorty wait in the hillbilly parts than in the city.

    Technicalitus Pompous.

I thought East Coasters preferred Hi-Points.

In the thick Eastern woods one sees more lever-action 30-30s than almost anything else, either Winchester 94s or the Marlin 336.

One can find snobs anywhere, even some who are snobbish about their non-snobbiness.

I live in Virginia Beach, Virginia and this whole conversation now has me questioning everything. I'm having an identity crisis.

Was looking for a new 336 a few months ago. All poorly finished. Gave up. If the whim returns, I think that I will probably look for a Connecticut-made used one.

I spent as much time as I could at Virginia Beach, when I was stationed in Norfolk.
