I know, right? It's like going into a restaurant and complaining about all the food you don't like, the kind of sevice from the wait staff you despise, and how you hate to pay automatic gratuities for large parties. To a certain extent, we all love to have something to hate so we don't seem so bad. Truth is that we are all sinners saved by grace, and the word of God and the Spirit of God are our only hopes in this world to be conformed to the image of Christ. It's like the old preacher said one time, God don't care what you think.

Well the natural state of man is war & what feeds war but hate. Good ole hate, penetrates every level of our being. Now you may not believe you have a sin nature, you may delude yourself that your no longer a hater....well "I"....you heard it .....IIIIIIIIIII beg to differ wit you! So lets not take this position that we are above it all because we are the Christian brotherhood because that would be a lie and a hypocrisy & that my brothers & sisters is the mother of all sins. There isnt a human alive, "I" am certain, who does not wallow in it, knowingly or unknowingly. We as Christians should heed our scripture, recognize the problem & flesh it out. That is the secret of a healthy mind & body. Thank you Old Union Brother for pointing that out.....least we become .......well you know.

ARE YOU TALKING TO ME? lol jk I don't think I am above it all, that is why I said "we". The point I was trying to make is that some of our differences are petty. We are all prejudiced to a certain extent concerning things, or people, that aren't like us. The "our four and no more" mentality. But let me be very clear here: If we hate our brother, the love of the Father is not in us. That much is plain. I have run into this in church where church members did not want certain types of people brought to the services by bus or van. That is hate plain and simple, I am sorry. And yes, we are all drawn in that direction sometimes, but if we give in to that type of thinking, I have doubts we are saved. So, in conclusion, no, Christians can't hate their brother. No way.

Then what is your stance on "Carnal Christians?" Do they in fact really exist? If so, then what makes them carnal?

Took care of that yesterday. Now I have to get my dog something. He was born on Valentine's day 11 years ago. What to get for a dog that likes to take naps all day long before he sleeps for the night?

Normally I would agree with you here, but he has never meant a dog he likes. He is very protective of my wife cuz we rescued him when he was just old enough to wean and my wife mothered him back to health as his immune system was very compromised. I am afraid he would hurt a puppy. I always heard that older dogs know not to hurt a puppy, but I am not so sure with him.
