Notice some recent subjects of threads:
    Christians and ghosts
    Christians and UFOs
    Biblical ok to smoke marijuana
Wives must get permission from husbands to vote
    WIves must vote like husbands
Gluttony does not mean over indulgence in food

    etc, etc, etc........

Have we lost our ever loving minds?

    Oh thank you!

    I've wondered the same thing.

Maybe it's just the summer ebb. Or is it flow . . .

(is it ok that I posted? I am a woman, I know.)

I've been wondering about some of the posts. I have come over from the puritan board where the discussions are deep and thought out, and have been disapointed by the lack of depth in my own group the baptists. It seems that style of worship and questions of UFOs drugs and other things are the most prevelant. Lets get deep!

LOL! WE certainly are scraping the bottom of the barrel right now. The question is should we just be thankful they are not alcohol or modesty threads?

    Pastor,

There is a definate ebb and flow on the board. There will be a certain amount of ongoing bickering. Obviously we represent a wide span of Baptists and beliefs and sometimes those differences get in the way.

As to the depth -- lead the way! There will be followers I'm sure.

    ....

 Nevermind I didn't see the last part of the post.

Edited (again) to add: I don't think that "old, white folks", as you put it, need to be dancing to hip hop in the church parking lot, just that I don't see the reason to bash others who may use a different medium to reach out to a different community. (not you specifically, just in general)

    Want me to teach you?

If you do, someone is going to have to teach me...

What about a BB dance/aerobic class.... It may even be good for our hearts....

I could use the exercise... That's for sure!

I read a comment today in Christianity today about Calvinism and God's love... If I have the time, I may elaborate on a question I had when I read it....
