    I've had wife #1 and live with wife #2.
    I'm also a Deacon. How does that work?
    (I've never been divorced).

    I have never been a deacon, though I have done some of the function of the deacon. I have never been divorced. I have never been married.

    My first wife died of Liver Cancer in 1999.
    In 2002 I married my second wife.
    I now live with my second wife. I can't say I'm
    NOT CELIBATE cause that is to personal
    and anyway -we can't talk about sex in this forum.

    Having known you for some five years, I'd say you would make a
    good deacon. But I belong to a chuch that won't ordain
    women deacons (yes, they can do the work of a deacon).

    When I went to Grief Groop (1999-2002) at another Baptist Church in
    town, they had Lady Deacons. They didn't have any paid
    Lady Pastors but did have paid Lady Ministers.

    Never divorced and with wife #1 for almost 12 years now...and plan to keep her as wife #1 as long as she stays about 25 degrees above room temperature.
    I am a child of divorce though...which is part of the reason i'm not a fan of divorce (along with the scriptural reasons).
