    Anybody can write a Bible.
    It takes a Real He-God to write adequate
    Translator Footnotes!

    For example, in the Holman Christian Standard
    Bible (HCSB) the first footnote in Genesis
    1:26 starts out "Syr" indicating that
    the Syriac source of the Old Testament (O.T.)
    varies from the rest of the O.T. sources.

    Besides variations in the source manuscripts,
    the translator footnotes also show variant
    ways of translating from the source document
    langauges into the English Language.

    Of course, the HCSB outdoes the other
    pretender Bibles in the translator
    footnote department. That is why
    [tic=tongue-in-cheek] I am HCSBO [/tic].
