    Take a stand: let it die a horrible death as all legalities that give power to the national government and take it away from the people should.

    Hey, wasn't everyone saying several months ago that this should be a state's rights issue? My state (California) has already defined marriage as being between a man and a woman. The recent attempt by one city to issue licenses to same-gender couples was quashed. Why do the states need the feds to "help" us out?

    I'm not anti-federal legislation on the topic necessarily, but a constitutional amendment is a bit much.

    Actually I was for it several months ago until a number of people made me THINK about what allowing such a thing would mean.
    Thought you were one of the ones who got me started thinking about it...could be wrong.

    Gina, I don't think it was me, but I am pro state rights, though. The problem is that we have federal judges over ruling the states. That is why I think we must do this.
