While reading the BB, I have noticed lately that the sentences run way off the edge of the screen. They used to fit in the monitor without my having to scroll sideways to read them.

    What is the deal?

Is there some kind of setting on my computer that needs to be changed or something?

Doubt it is your computer, but how do other websites look? If they are normal it is probably the BB. Some threads do that from time to time on boards and I don't know why for sure, something in how they are set up.

If all sites you go to on the web are that way then it might be your monitor width that needs adjusting. I would think that your normal stuff on your computer, all programs would be wider than normal if it is the monitor. That is usually controllable from the front panel Get your book out or look at the controls. Usually there is a drawing, or maybe when you press a button - the pic you want is a screen with arrows going both left and right - adjust that.

I really suspect the board you are using has changed for some reason.

Maybe a moderator can enlighten us both on why some threads do that.

This most often occurs when a poster uses an overly long URL which stretches more than screen width. This forces the entire page to be extra wide. Moderators try to correct this when it happens. If this is the case use the "Report Post" button and a moderator will edit the link to make it fir.

The extension TinyUrl Creator ( http://tinyurl.com/duqnc ) comes in handy for this very thing.

I try to use it when I post a link on the BB (or at least edit my post if I see that my original link was too long).

Putting a link on its own line of text helps, as well.

    Will result in:

    Free Ministry Hosting

This way it doesn't stretch the tables.
