The Obama presidency: Here comes socialism

    By Dick Morris
    Posted: 01/20/09 06:12 PM [ET]

2009-2010 will rank with 1913-14, 1933-36, 1964-65 and 1981-82 as years that will permanently change our government, politics and lives. Just as the stars were aligned for Wilson, Roosevelt, Johnson and Reagan, they are aligned for Obama.

Simply put, we enter his administration as free-enterprise, market-dominated, laissez-faire America. We will shortly become like Germany, France, the United Kingdom, or Sweden — a socialist democracy in which the government dominates the economy, determines private-sector priorities and offers a vastly expanded range of services to many more people at much higher taxes.

Obama will accomplish his agenda of “reform” under the rubric of “recovery.” ... His stimulus packages won’t do much to shorten the downturn — although they will make it less painful — but they will do a great deal to change our nation.

I said it 16 years ago when I did not vote for Clinton
I said it 8 years ago when I did not vote for Gore OR Bush:
I say it now (I did NOT vote for Obama):

    All entitlement programs
of the USGovernment should be ended
save for the ones to which I am entitled.

Dick Morris has less credibility that Gietner.

Dick Morris —The former political adviser to Bill Clinton is a Fox News analyst. The IRS filed a $1.5 million tax lien against him in 2003. The state of Connecticut reports Morris owes $452,367 in back taxes and penalties.
Morris says he's reached an agreement with Connecticut and his name will be removed from the next delinquency list. He says he is committed to paying his taxes: "Following a difficult period in my life, I fell into arrears. But since then, I have paid almost $3 million in state and federal taxes."

I'm glad he's repented, but I hardly trust him as a news or opinion source.

    Sorry, Carpro.

Morris is only stating the obvious.

There is a willful blindness from the Obama cult that is astounding to see.

    Nothing to be sorry about.

I don't like Morris much myself, but he got this one right, so I'll use him. And he's not going to be overseeing the treasury.

As has already been noted, he's just citing the obvious, but many eyes are closed, as you have also noted.

If its news and factual and true, the controlled media doesn't mind it being told as long as the person doing the telling has a hole in their own credibility armor!
