    well, i believe in God.
    my 2 questions are:

    1. How would i know if god wanted me to do anything at any given time?

(its like sometimes i just pray dear God if there is anything you want me to know or do(that right now i dont know or am not doing) specifically for you before i die then please let me know)

    2. how do i know anything at all about God,
(except my belief that god exists)
without it just being all inside my head?

example: you could tell me something about God.
but how do i know thats true and not just inside your head?

    thanks -God lives within

I think the Bible is clear on a lot of things on what we should and shouldn't do. That would be one way to know if God wanted me to do anything at a given time.

Another way is that if we belong to God, His spirit guides us.

If you feel a gentle nudge to speak to someone in distress or to tell someone about Jesus, that's God.

If you feel a compunction to do something nice for someone for no reason, that's God.

Saggy woman is right also about the Bible.

There are many things in it that God gives us to do. Some of them God may move you to especially do.

If you are making a decision, you should search to see if there is any compromise in any choice you might make, and then choose something else. It is not God's will for you to compromise your testimony, and He will always make a way. And always praying for God to lead you, and reading the word expecting to find guidance there. I am always amazed when I find a passage in my reading that speaks to me in any present situation, but I shouldn't be. He is God, after all [IMG] .

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

    Col 1:10
    That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

    Joh 8:32
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

    Ro 8:16
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

We believe in the Trinity, the Holy Spirit is the Third and equal member of the Trinity who is in relationship with us. How do we know what God is saying to us? That can be difficult, yet the simplest answer is to ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to it. Become sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit and it will become clear, often His voice is the still small quiet voice inside of you.

    so thats it?
if i look on the bright side
i guess i hope the answer really is just that simple.
because the alternative is basically never really knowing for sure but just believing it.

    is there any other proof
other than using the bible or the Holy Spirit?
    thanks -God lives within

Remember the chap in the Bible that said "Lord I believe, help my unbelief". Cry out to God and He will answer you.

The bible and Holy Spirit are how we communicate with God.

How can you know what Gods will is for your life?

    Place yourself in His will.

    What is God's will?

    That none should perish.

Giving out the gospel places you in His will and now He can reveal to you what His will is for your life.

You will recognize prompts from the Holy Spirit when He wants you to do something specific.
