Have you wondered what happened to Ted Haggard after the scandal? He was in AZ for awhile, and told not to return to CO. He got that amended and is now back in CO, living close to his former church, New Life, although he's not going to that church. He's thinking of staring a church, according to this interview.

I'm curious as to your thoughts on this. Long interview but pretty in-depth.

I listened to Ted talk a few months ago at a conference I was attending. He was happy to talk all about who wronged him but never talked about the men (it was more than one) with whom we had encounters, never talked about the 14,000 members he abandoned, never talked about the staff members who have lost their jobs in the exodus of people from New Life, never talked about how he walked away from the church created restoration board. It was all about him.

Ted Haggard has no business being a pastor or being anywhere near ministry. I'm going to withhold my entire view because this is something I am very upset about. Suffice to say that because of his actions Ted needs a significant time away from ministry for intentional restoration. How he going about his way now is sickening to me. I dust my feet off with him.

Sounds like a man who fell into grievous sin, has repented, sout restoration, and is finding it.

It is up to the Lord whether he should serve as an elder again or not, not the people and his choice. That is where I disagree with with Ted.

May the Lord heal him and his family completely and may Ted know the joy of the Lord again.
