I was just listening to SRN news and they reported a third incident of President Obama leaving "Creator" out of his quotes from the Declaration of Independence. Conclusion: We have a very evil person as the President of the United States.

I don't think it was accidental. But, that's just my opinion.

Because it isn't the first time he's made that remark?

Because he's not quoting some arcane, obscure footnote of Americana--but one of our founding documents (or, his corruption of it?)?

Because Obama is an academic, with a law background--he is well-versed in parsing words; and that he knows that words mean things?

Because if Obama had simply goofed when saying it earlier, he would have not repeated the mistake (his advisors would have told him about it, and he would have righted his "mis-statement," had that been what it was).

Obama's making a point: His assertion is that government is the issuer, and the guarantor, of individual rights. The Founding Fathers (rightly) asserted that our Creator (that's God, by the way--in case one happens to be a Democrat and isn't sure where the party stands) is the One who gives us our most cherished and basic freedoms...goverment simply recognizes that fact, and seeks to protect those God-endowed rights.

It's about as accidental as, "You can keep your insurance if you like it." Oops.

It must really stink being a Community Organizer right now.

I would think that the resident Junior Lawyer Wannabe (and was in gifted class in middle school!) would be able to read what SBCPreacher and understand the implications of his words. He said:

Note the keywords "think" and "opinion". You then respond with "know". He didn't say he knew anything.

If you plan on being a sneaky lawyer, you need to get your comprehension of words down a little better than that!

He is a grown man, and the people that voted for him believed he could do the job. I think we all make mistakes when speaking, I know I do, but if it is pointed out to me, I don't make that mistake again for a long time, and I would say he does like wise. By now I believe he is saying just what he wants to say.

    A couple of things.

First, this doesn't make him evil. It just illustrates his evilness.

Second, Obama references God and religion all the time. The reason he doesn't do it in this context is because, to acknowledge that all men have been "endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights" is to acknowledge that the government has no authority to undermine or take away these rights.

Remember, to liberals, particularly to progressives, such as Emperor Obama, rights come from government, not God.

I liken it to when the Eagles hired Ray Rhodes. The previous coach was so unbelievably buffoonish and incompetent that anybody else looked good and they didn't really stop to ask themselves if the guy could actually coach.

Same here. Bush was so awful that I think most people would have voted for a mangy dog over a Republican. Then Obama came along, and never told us what he believed or what he wanted to do, and we didn't ask. All we knew was that he promised us that he wasn't like the last guy.

This was no mistake. It was a calculated attempt to try to change the understanding of the foundations of our freedom.

Seriously now, you didn't really think it was an accident even after the first time, did you?

His contempt for the founders, the declaration of Independence and the Constitution have been evident for a long time.

This president doesn't take cobnstructive criticism very well. Besides it's intentional and he has no plans to fix it at all.

I think the last year I cared for the Eagles was when they had Norm Van Brocklin and Bill Ray Barnes. Didn't Green Bay hire Ray Rhodes too. Yes, he was a mess.

Now we agree on this. I had a professor in history who taught that academic of his profession was going to kill our country. He would point to Woodrow Wilson. He said after that lawyers and teachers of law. So many in our schools are trying to do like wise.

I would only disagree on one very minor point: It's not that Obama has no plans to fix it. It's that Obama, in his arrogance, claims that he's already fixing it. Remember that this was "recovery summer?"

Guess his tax cheat treasury guy didn't get the memo.
