Please feel free to post your favorite links to History resources on this thread. We used to have a thread on the old board, but it turned to cyberdust during the move.

    Thanks,
    Lady Eagle, Moderator :flower:

I came across four people with my same last name. To the best of my knowledge, I never knew any of them. I actually volunteered to go to 'Nam when I was in the USAF, but never went [They sent me to (West) Germany instead!] I did have a cousin that served there as an Army helicopter crew chief.

My heart goes out to all of those who did serve there, especially those who lost their lives there and to their survivors. :tear:

Reminds me of a quotation that one of my grad school history profs [MA in History, Austin Peay St Univ {Clarksville, TN}, 1981] had prominently displayed over his classroom's CHALK boards (Remember them??):

HISTORY CLASS.........PEOPLE LEARNING THAT PEOPLE NEVER REALLY LEARN!!

    The Third Reich in Ruins

"This page presents photos of historical sites associated with Germany’s Third Reich (1933-1945), both as they appeared while in use, and as the remains appear today. These photos give a "then and now" perspective, in many cases, a virtual tour of the sites. I was originally inspired to write this page by a collection of photos taken by my father, U.S. Army Air Forces Lt. Delbert R. Walden, when he was stationed in Germany in 1945-46." -Geoff Walden

    http://www.thirdreichruins.com/

A very good site if you are interested in the subject.
