Holy Land

    Who here from the BB has toured the "Holy Land"? I've really wanted to go for some time now. I think it would really be cool to see everything firsthand.

    If so, which tour company did you use? Naturally, safety in that region of the world is a concern to me...

    I went when I was still young, before it got really dangerous. It's hot, the food is terrible, but the people were very kind. It's a tourist trap, no doubt. We went to the spot where Jesus is said to have been born. It's an underground golden shrine, beneath a huge church. There were Christians of every denomination imaginable there. It was very crowded all the time, but you could view the shrine in absolute silence. It was quite profound, even if it was just a shrine.
