It is the "Understanding" that is "good". Man-made origins and how paganism and other religions have influenced modern Christianity helps us determine HOW we practice our religion.

We ALL pick-and-choose man-made additions to Biblical truth. Some are defensible; some aren't. Just don't want MINE to be from Catholic or Zoroastrian sources!!

15 To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences are defiled. Titus 1:15 (ESV)

Praise the Lord! He sees and knows our hearts.

23 But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin. Romans 14:23 (ESV)

Is there any activity that we could engage in that would not have the appearence of somthing a pagen might do? - By the way, we're having biscuits and gravy Sunday. Yum!!!

there is a good chance this has been absorbed. easter in itself has a pagan origin.
but you know what is even is just as pagan is the commercialism that goes with easter. christians have chosen to remember this day as the day that our Lord rose victorious from the grave. and as always, the adversary is out there doing his level best to divert attention away from it.
