Found this as the opening statement of a church page:

At Faith ------ we believe that church should be full of life, excitement, and the transforming presence of God. When you visit, you will experience just that. We want to make it easy for you to come to church.

I agree that we should have the transforming presence of God,
but preceding that is "excitement" - - is it just me, or is this a "feel good" statement?

If I'm looking at the same statement, they continue by saying:
"What you will find here is:
*Passionate people who are hungry to encounter God
*Messages that are relevant to your daily life
*People from every stage and walk of life
*Several ways to connect to our church family
*That you are important to God and to us"

I don't know that it is a "feel good" statement but it certainly appears to be centered on men rather than on God.

People should feel good when in the presence of God. We should also feel conviction and anguish at our sin. It could be that their church is all about experience but it does not have to mean that.
