When I worked for the State of California Department of Vocational Rehab, I attended a seminar on AIDS at UCLA [back in 1987]. At this seminar, an instructor [who was gay] told this group that it had been the long range plan and agenda of the gay movement to achieve normalcy, acceptance, and the same rights as straights.

Thus, it doesn't surprise me one bit, that the homosexual movement has gained so much recognition and acceptance not only within societies around the world and here in America, but, within the church itself.

Their goal was to work on changing the minds and hearts of the young folks, generation-by-generation, because they felt these folks would be their door to normalcy. They believed, and it sure is proving their theory to be correct, that the youth of each new generation was pure of heart [without set morals against homosexuality], making the youth of the generations to come, their fertile ground for planting seeds of eventual acceptance.

This plan is working, and like it or not, the youth of today seem to see nothing wrong with homosexuality.

Could this new acceptance of homosexual sins be the fault of the church [all denominations included here] not teaching the truths, or, their lack of having a plan to speak out LOUDLY about the sin of perversion over the last 4 or 5 decades?

For instance, while the church has successfully beat back gay marriage here in California over the past five to ten years, they have went from a majority of 65% against same sex marriage, to less than 52%. If this erosion continues, same sex marriage will eventually be normalized in California, and across this nation, in the next decade for sure.

I don't know about you, but, I am concerned, and frustrated at the same time. Same-sex relations are nothing but perversion, but, the church seems to have lost the battle against immorality.

So, I challenge you on the Board to contact your elected officials and to tell them to not "cave into' accepting gays into the military. Stop allowing the schools to teach same-sex marriage. Demand that advertisers pull their ads from televising shows that show homosexuality in a positive light. Stop going to movies that glorify sexual lewdness, straight or gay.
Teach your children, and grandchildren the principles Paul spoke on in Romans 1, and remind them that the story of Sodom and Gomorrah were historical and that a God of love will still judge those who willfully embrace and commit sin.

We need to let the Word of God and our voices , in regard to same-sex anything, be loudly heard throughout this world. Please don't take the following as my support of radical Muslim teachings in any way, but, at least they still put homosexuals to death. Right, or wrong, at least they have a plan.

Today's church has all but lost it's focus when it comes to morality... and the time and opportunity to get it back is fading quickly.

I do know one thing. While God is on the throne, same-sex relationships will be judged, and those who practice this sin will be cast into the depths and pits of hell... and, all the time in the world and its political correctness will not stop this Biblical truth from coming to pass! :praying:

God will judge the world for becoming the exact duplicate of Sodom and Gomorrah, all over again!

    Shalom,

    Pastor Paul :type:

Same sex relationships are not the result of a Church that teaches against this type of immorality. It is the result of a peoples rebellion against God and a very liberal society. Homosexuality is a sin and will be judged. No doubt about it. Churches that permit it in their congregations are considered apostate such as the episcapel Church.
The Church has other area's of permissability long before the homosexual agenda was mentioned. For instance. How many churches allow people who are not married (yet living together) participate in a ministry? How many people who come to accept divorse as a normal state of affairs of christians? In our society, we've created a smorgasborg of morality and churches who go along with it. I think our churches are too married to the world.

Prepare yourself for the onslaught Paul, cause there are many on this board who think God goofed when He called such perversion "an abomination"!

Sadly, when it's too late, they will find that God meant EXACTLY what He said!!!!!

    I'm Prepared...

As long as they don't toss stones, I'll be okay, because everything I've said is according to the Wrod of God. Like you said, "sadly" they'll find out God meant all He said, at judgment!

Been There, Done That... and Forgiven, too!

I agree with you, but, also want you to know that God don't make "junk!" We are like pottery, being broken and reshaped throughout our walk with God. I say this because, I'm divorced and remarried... and the divorce was something that couldn't be helped. Believe me on this, when your wife leaves you for another, well, that can't be stopped... and I had to move on.

However, if you read my book, Prodigal Daze, you will find that my divorce took a major toll on my life and walk in faith with God; and sadly, I failed to trust in God after the marriage failed. I went totally "prodigal". However, God does forgive and restore, I am an example of that restoration ability of a loving Father.:godisgood:

Read the book. It is really very good...and it's helped lots of folks get their life with God back!

Ok, do I get a rebate?
I understand that these things happen but I don't want to minimize their impact as well. Sin no matter what form it comes in is devestating to the body of Christ. But you're right God is merciful and will help people no matter what situation they are in.

==If we are talking about church going youths developing an acceptance than the answer to your question is a great big, and very tragic, YES. Too many pastors are afraid or unwilling just to say it like it is. I'm thankful that my pastor does not harbor such fears. He says it like it is and does not apologize.

==I don't think the church has lost anything. We are not to expect the lost world around us to have our values or morals. Our job is to take the Gospel to the lost, dying, and hell bound world. Their only hope is the Gospel. Hoping that they will be "moral lost people" is nice, but we should not expect it. Frankly, I'm surprised that lost people have any good values at all considering they are dead in sin and enemies of God (Eph 2:1-3).

The tragedy here is when churches and individual Christians develop a tolerance for sin.

==Personally, I don't care about the "gays in the military" issue. Like I said, the military is full of lost people who engage in all sorts of sinful and sick behavior. Kicking the gays out accomplishes nothing. I am far more interested in taking the Gospel to the lost, homosexual or otherwise, so they can be saved and escape the certain damnation of hell. Their only hope is the Gospel. Legislation and political activism does not help them at all. It is my belief that this is why you do not see our Lord or His Apostles engaged in political activism in their day. It is not part of the mission of the church (2Cor 10:3-6, Eph 6:10-12).

The only hope for the homosexual, the only hope of change for them, is the Gospel. Everything else is vanity.

I highly recommend John MacArthur's little book, "Can God Bless America?". While not denying that Christians should vote (etc), it shatters the idea that political activism will change the world.

==I don't have children and I probably never will. However if a public school teacher were to teach my child that homosexuality or same-sex "marriage" was ok, my child would no longer be in that class or school. Private Christian schools are probably better places for our (Christian's) children anyway. Why would we send our children to a school where they would be taught the Devil's lie of evolution?

The point I was making is that there are some on this board who, though they would never openly so state, show by their comments that they believe God made a mistake by condemning q---- as an "abomination"!

This group seem, IMHO, to feel that sin is sin, ergo being q---- is no worse than stealing a piece of candy from your mom's valentine box. Now granted, stealing that piece of candy is a sin, but God does not call such an "ABOMINATION"; therefore, I'm not so sure that God considers ALL sins equal.

==That is an unfair, and unBiblical statement. It is unfair because you are asserting that those who believe sin is sin somehow wish God would not have condemned homosexuality. That is not true and it is unfair of you to make the claim.

More importantly, however, it is unBiblical. Yes, the Bible teaches that homosexuality is an abomination. However the Bible also teaches that gossip and lying are abominations (Prv 6:17-19). It places homosexuality, gossip, envy, being a hater of God, murder, drunkenness, adultery, fornication, and being disobedient to one's parents in the same group (Rom 1:24-32, Gal 5:19-21, Rev 21:8). It is Scripture that compares adultery and murder and then proclaims that if one "keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all" (Jms 2:9-13). In other words, while Scripture condemns homosexuality as a very serious sin it does not lift it above other sins. Any sin will condemn a person to hell. While sins may have different judgments and consequences, sin is still sin. The sinfulness of sin is always sinful.

    Thank you Martin!

Excluding what you read into my post - not what was stated - you pretty well confirm what I say!
