I have copied the following from an email message I received today:

    From:

    Subject: homosexual serial killers

    Brethren,

Today I did a search on "leading serial killers" on the internet. Here is what I found.

HOMOSEXUALS BIGGEST KILLERS. The five leading serial killers in the United States are homosexuals, according to Associated Press. The killers and their body counts: Donald Harvey, 37; John Wayne Gacy, 33; Patrick Wayne Kearney, 32; Dean Corll, Elmer Wayne Henley and David Owen Brooks, 27 and Juan Corona, 25. The New York Times adds to the list: Bruce Davis, 28 and Stephen Kraft, 16. Homosexuals are less than 3 percent of the population but have perpetrated 68 percent of all serial killings in the past 20 years.

You can add to these seven, Jeffrey Dahmer who was implicated in at least 17 murders.

    Brotherly in Christ,

Having researched serial killers and mass murders for a research paper, it is not the person’s sexual orientation that determines their evil crimes. The vast majority of serial killers are heterosexual, but will delve into sex with anything, animals, old people, men and children. That type of sex is one of “POWER” over a victim, it has nothing to do with sexual orientation.

You need to explain and document your 68% figure. I believe you will find that most serial killers are heterosexuals who kidnap women and rape them.

In my research, I found that a common thread to many of theses killers have been an overly-dominating mother, and an abusive father. It was then coupled with an intense hatred for one of the parents which finds an outlet in killing that sex in the general population. It also has been shown in studies that murderers have experienced some type of head trauma.

Finding unrelated threads from the lives of mass murderers is very deceiving as one could use the following to point out that the worst of Murderers have been Christian heterosexual who believed in abstinence.

James Warren Jones (Jim Jones of Jonestown) a Calif. heterosexual Methodist preacher turned claimed faith-healer and God, taught sexual abstinence, but used female followers as sex slaves. Murdered 916 people in one day.

David Koresh: Claimed Christian Minister, also God, heterosexual as well as child molester, taught abstinence. Killed most of his flock.

Adolf Hitler: Heterosexual, also believed in abstinence, also a claimed Christian. Murdered millions.

Do you really believe those you list as 'christian' are truly christian?

Do 'most' serial killers kill only because they have kidnapped and raped a woman and then kill to prevent from being found out?

Is rape a violent crime of power or one of sexual desire? (Not asking because I don't know).

I have not engaged in the depth of research you have, thank you for your information. What I presented is copied from another man's research.

I would however be careful to not accept the 'profession' of mass murderers of any scale as true born again christians. I believe these men are simply or did simply use religion as a means to fulfill their own depaved lusts of the flesh.

BTW, some historians do claim Hitler to have had homosexual relations as well as heterosexual.

    Again, thanks.

    Hello Frogman.

I can answer a couple of your questions. I have a degree in Criminal Justice and I've been following forensics for years.

Rape is an action involving power over someone else, not sexual desire.

And most serial killers are heterosexual but do have deviant sexual tendencies.

As far as them being Christian, The Right Way was only listing their claims of Christianity. He wasn't stating that they truly were.

    Hope this helps. [IMG]

Like many non-murdering Christians, these killers claimed to be Christian but of course, had no true understanding of what it is to be Christian.

Rape is not sexual love making. On a sexual scale, it is closer to forced masterbastion by another since the "other" is not sexually gratified. And since a person can fullfill their own self sexual desire solo or through the use of a prostitue, the act of forcing someone else to do it can only be from some type of power-issue over another. Most likely derived from a feeling of powerlessness in previous relationships.

We can't affect serial killers after they are formed, our mission should be to watch for parents that are typical spawning ground for such people and turn the parents into the authorities whenever abuse is suspected. Other than that, there is nothing we can do. Our sinful nature will always bring forth men and women who do evil things to others.

Change yourself and you start changing the world for the good. Try to change the world and you create more bloodshed and evil.

This email looks like yet another thing resulting from the feeling that "Sure, I'm a sinner, but others (like homosexuals) are a lot worse than me!"

Well, they aren't worse. We are all sinners before God. Nothing more, nothing less.

I guess our greatest sin (myself included) is pretending to know the heart of anyone, never mind of their manifested fruits.

I have to agree with Frogman and question your statement that these are Christians. Or evil men claiming to be Christians. Somehow, I don't think Adolf Hitler is in heaven right now. I may be wrong because I do not know because God only knows what happened in the last moments of his life, but as Paul said, you can discern a Christian by the fruits of their labor.

Great [IMG] Not only are Gays responsible for 9-11 but now all gays are serial killers

That kind of thinking will help us to reach out to them and win them to Christ! [IMG] :(

Thanks Kims, very much, I don't have a degree in Criminology, but I am taking a Criminology course this semester, I have taken a few Psych and Soc. classes to fulfill requirements toward a yet future BA in Social Studies.

I didn't ask the question because I didn't understand what rape is, but because it can't be said to be resulted from sexual desire, I don't really (personal opinion here probably) think it can be compared to the motives of homosexuals.

    But thanks for your input.

Will we 'reach' them for Christ by justifying their lifestyle?

When Christ reaches out to them, they will be changed and they will also be won, for him.

    </font>
We can either treat them as outcasts, cursing their sin, or we can treat them as Christ did, and welcome them, spend time with them, and show them the love of Christ. Hmm... I'll go with option #2.

I didn't think anyone here would think I meant that these people were "real" Christians. Why would you think that, it wasn't even my point?

My point was that just because a serial killer is a homosexual, or a Christian, or a graduate from Princton (yes there was one), doesn't make a person a serial killer. The implication from the original email post tried to support that there is a direct connection between homosexual behavior and serial killers. I pointed out the same weak evidence exists for a number of attributes, including, being a heterosexual and claims of Christianity. I further corrected the email our brother received to further state that a far greater numbers of serial killers are heterosexual rapists.

The argument made by the email is that some serial killers will become homosexuals or that some homosexuals are serial killers.

Based upon the three I listed the same argument can be made that some serial killers are heterosexuals.

All true, but totally a waste of time since it doesn't help solve the problem.

Some serial killers as married too. Where do you stop?

Brett pointed out that whoever spent so much time (researching the email content) trying to prove that most serial killers are homosexuals might indicate a person who feels really bad about themselves and is trying to point out that there are worse people than him/her.

It could be a Christian who suffers from homosexual issues and is seeking to find a greater wrong to help deal with their own shame and guilt. Homosexual serial killers would certainly do the trick.

    I agreed.

Let's not turn this into a homosexual debate, the Bible is clear enough on that issue. This thread was about serial killers who have sex (rape) with men and maybe anything else that walks and talks.

I think it was a plea (email author, not Frogman) for help by a Christian who is trying to justify their homosexual behavior.

    </font>
That is why I plainly wrote the word "claimed" before the word Christian. Sorry if most people didn't catch that.

    Dear The Right Way,

I missed the 'claimed' qualifier also, sorry. :(

I think your 'observation is very interesting. The person who sent that email is a Baptist pastor, just got back to the U.S from Thailand where he and his church support a Thai national who is engaged in a mission work over there.

He is also an 'opponent' of the landmark view which I subscribe to, he believes the only scriptural NT church is one that is self-constituted.

I could give you some links to his other writings, but that would clearly identify him and in light of your observation and his troubles with strict chain-link landmarkers such as myself, I don't think that is a very good idea.

I don't personally know of any one's 'secret' sins, but this man is married and is elderly (neither of which prohibit the sexual orientation either way).

He also posted a 'sermon' on homosexuality, I admit there are alot of things I disagree with him on, I have not read his sermon yet, but I will.

If you guys wish I may post excerpts. I don't really think his motives are out of hatred of people who profess to be of the homosexual persuasion, but I do think he possesses an honest and Biblical 'hatred' for theirs and the sins of adulterers, murders, etc. alike.

Nevertheless, your observation is interesting to say the least. How did you derive that from the email message, if you don't mind my asking.

I'm especially now concerned that I hear this person is a minister. To paint a picture such as the equating of homosexuality with serial killing is sending the wrong message. As a minister, he should know that homosexuality is a sin many people suffer with and should not have to have the potiential for becoming a serial killer added on to the shame they feel as homo's.

In light of such association and his calling,he may indeed be repressing homosexual desires or he may have a close relative that is homo or he may be using the latest fund raising technique to open people's pocket book. We can't know which one is true, but there is more to his proclaimations than meets the eye.

When a minister brings up such claims, then goes about doctoring the statistics and further drawing the wrong conclusions to prove his point, someting is seriously wrong with that individual.

Why is he even talking about serial killers to begin with? I doubt if any of us has ever met one, but I have met several homo's. I just never thought any of the homo's I met were going to rape and kill me.

I guess it is conceivable that this minister has actually run into several homo-serial-killers and he is afraid it is spreading nationwide and this is his warning to us. I guess that could be the reason for the post.... but I just don't think so.

    This is so sad,

The very reason we have been left on this earth is to reach others and what do we do, sit around pointing fingers at them instead of reaching out to them. This is the same hard-hearted attitude that caused our nation and our world to turn from moving toward Christ to moving rapidly away. We have so focused on the sins of the sinner that the sinner naturally feels (because it is what we really mean) that we are throwing rocks at them personally. All the while, they are watching us trip over our own two feet doing, infact, some of the very things that we berate them for.

So quit blaming and highlighting and pointing out the obvious, homosexuality in all its forms is an abomination in the sight of God. Now start talking about how we can have people of this lifestyle into our home and feed them a good meal and show them that we love the person. Some times I think that we are a house of firemen that use a pump truck full of gasoline to put out the flames of hell with.
