    It's called "deficits don't matter." A game a lot of politicians play. Because the bills don't come due until they are out of office, and it's someone else's problem.

    In the meantime, they can lavish spending and tax cuts to keep the masses happy.

    Becaue they assume we are stupid enough to believe it.

    Why do Christians generally criticize Democrats for deficit spending, but excuse Republicans?

    I think Bush is so far gone that he doesn't even criticize democratic spending.

    He really doesn't care what happens after he is gone.
