Hopi/Navajo water rights

    What on earth is going on here?

    I'm confused by this and don't get why this isn't making bigger news. It's WATER. How do you take water from a group of people and somehow it is okay?

    It's water. That's like coming and hauling away the dirt from planting areas.

    Am I missing something?

    It goes to the way Washington set up the Hopi and Navajo Reservations back in the day. Also suffice it to say, the two tribes\nations traditionally are about as friendly as the French and Germans.
