Now the senate needs to follow with the same thing.
The most necessary cuts should be closest to the Congress' offices. This is a start.
The next step, reduce the salaries of every person serving in elected office to the median individual income for their district. Then eleminate their unnecessary perks.

What perks should we eliminate? I for one do not want to eliminate franking priviliges.
Anybody else notice that federal employees are exempt from cuts in the congressional committee looking at spending cuts?

The elected congresspeople can pay the pages out of their annual office funds if the pages are needed.
