What an absolute waist of time and money. The white house is not going to release those documents any more then the last president released the documents he was told to release and if that is not bad enough the these corrupt and irresponsible republicans know it and still waste the time and money.
This is what happens when political agenda is more important then national problems. Both parties are so corrupt and irresponsible that they all need to be booted out of office and replace with new people.

I don't view that as a waste of time at all. We have an administration that is spending our money on "green" technology, that most investors knew from the beginning was doomed.. They were selling for $4, a product their competitors were selling for $3, and it cost them $6 to produce it.

An administration so dedicated to a cause, (green jobs) that it cannot use discernment, must be called to account.

I disagree with the whole premise that govt. can fix this mess by spending money. It must simply get out of the way of private investors and entrepreneurs, by lessoning rules and regulations that have stifled growth and sent production overseas.

Read the post again. No one said the investigation was a waste of time.

Yes that is the part that is as they all know the President will evoke Presidential immunity just like George Bush did and just about every President prior. I tis a game that those in politics play at the time and expense of the American public. They should be focusing in area that they know they can get answers from not playing political games that cannot produce anything pertaining to that which they are investigating.

How much do you imagine that a subpoena cost?

Interesting question. Let me tell you a true story. Several years ago I was seeking auto insurance. The lady went over the insurance that was being offered and I told her I was not interested in the part that paid my hospital bills if in an accident. I explained to her that I had full medical coverage through work paid for by my employer. She replied to me “but this is so cheap it only costs a couple dollars. I asked her why would I want to pay, even if only a couple dollars, for something I cannot possibly use? She just looked back dumbfounded.

I think your question is like this woman's. It does not matter if the subpoena only cost one penny it was too much since they absolutely know the President is not going to give them what they requested. You would make a good politician because they also see no problem with spending the tax payer's money for things that cannot possible deliver.

So no President has ever complied with a subpoena for information from Congress?

He needs to be on the record for this. The results have been promptly produced.

The subpoena should be honored and let the truth be told.

I certainly agree, but that is not the issue. The issue is they all know it will not be honored and they still wasted the time and money on this. This is a political stunt and not a true desire to serve the people.

Sometimes it appears that the only issue you are comfortable with is one you can argue about. How often do you find yourself agreeing with what someone else says?

It is the issue and it is not a waste of time. He needs to honor it and needs to be held to account for refusing to do so.
