Think I would love to see the Texans beat up the overrated and always over confident Patriots. But doubt that will happen.
But one thing is for sure, Texans will show up unlike last time when they were beaten!

I'm with you. I haven't liked the Pats since they got caught filming an opponent's practices, an NFL rules violation. Plus it seems their OL gets away with holding more often than other teams.

Wonder if the Refs and officials love the Patriots and show favoritism towards them as they seem to be in the playoffs about almost all the time, everytime!?

Troll, troll, troll your boat, gently down the stream.

Your statement is obvious trolling, but what is overrated about the Patriots? Do multiple Super Bowl appearances make them overrated? Or multiple Super Bowl wins? Is it their current record (12-4) and annual double digit win seasons that make them overrated? And, they're always over confident? Or is your hatred of them classifying confidence as overconfidence?

I can produce 2 examples, 1 in 2005 and 1 in 2008, where the referees didn't favor the Patriots in the playoffs. Can you produce even 1 that shows that the referees do favor the Patriots? And, before you potentially embarrass yourself, the Tuck Rule game doesn't count. It may be a bad rule, but the Tuck Rule was properly applied in that situation.

You and I both know this is merely your bias speaking.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Texans win, if only for the assurance that we don't see the Patsies in the Super Bowl again. Unfortunately, this is a really bad matchup for the Texans.

    Maybe.

But from 2002 through 2012 the NE Patriots were 8th in the league in passing attempts, 3rd in completion %, but only 29th in sacks allowed. So they pass a lot but Brady doesn't get sacked very much. Obviously Brady is a very elite QB, but it's not like he's a great scrambler and gets flushed out of the pocket.

I hope it isn't a replay of the Little Big Horn again.

No, he's more like a statue back there. What Brady has, though, is a good offensive line, he doesn't hold on to the ball excessively, and he has a quick release.

Yes, all of that is true. He's a statue and he doesn't get sacked much. Good offensive line or a lot of holding going on, or both?

Since I've raised the issue, watch for it in the next game. I know what I've seen.

Not arguing the point about whether offensive lineman hold. We've both heard the cliche that holding could be called on every play, but you're trying to make the case that the Patsies hold more than anybody else does. I'm not sure this is a case that can be proven objectively.

Hmmm, you and I disagreeing about something that's almost entirely subjective. This sounds familiar to me somehow. :wavey:

eta: I'll be watching as best I can.

It would be hard to prove. The stats I presented were an attempt to find something objective.

LOL, yes, it does ring a bell. BTW, I'm enjoying Dr. Who a lot more of late if I simply enjoy the ride while its happening and not analyze afterwards. Like in The Snowmen why did no one notice the pond outside the Latimer's residence was frozen all summer? Or if it wasn't frozen why did no one notice a dead governess in it? Or smell the decaying corpse? Why did Clara become the new governess? How could she leave the household for weeks at time with no explanation? And didn't the Sontaran Strax die at the end of A Good Man Goes to War? Oops.... there I go again.

Valid questions, but the only answer I can give you that's somewhat reasonable is that we're being asked to fill in these gaps instead of the story filling them in for us, but I hate that answer. So, insert plausible answer here in lieu of the story giving us the answer.

Maybe a rewatching will provide the answers.

I took it that she got the job primarily because the kid's father thought Clara was pretty to look at.

I thought she gave an explanation, but, if pressed, I couldn't tell you what it was. So, don't press me on this one. :tongue3:

Obviously, he did, but here's the explanation.

In the Doctor's Timeline, The Snowmen happens after A Good Man goes to War. In Strax's Timeline, The Snowmen happens before A Good Man goes to War.

BTW, second half of S7 is set to begin in April. I don't think a firm date has been set, but my guess is it will be April 6th.

Before I forget, I did note this and I did appreciate the objective data. I may disagree with the conclusion, but I can't say that you didn't back up your conclusion with objective data. You've made us all smarter fans. :applause:
