IMO, you’d better start honing those FEAR skills and learn how to perfect them!
Looks like they're a major part of the Christian arsenal for receiving eternal life.

Matthew 10:28 “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.
But rather FEAR Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

Luke 12:5 “But I will show you whom you should fear: FEAR Him who,
after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, FEAR Him!”

Luke 1:50 “And His mercy is on those who FEAR Him From generation to generation.”

Acts 9:31 “And walking in the FEAR of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied.”

Romans 11:20-21 “Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith.
Do not be haughty, but FEAR. For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either.”

2 Corinthians 7:1 “Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves
from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the FEAR of God.”

2 Corinthians 11:3 “But I FEAR, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness,
so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”

Ephesians 5:21 “… submitting to one another in the FEAR of God.”

Philippians 2:12 “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only,
but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with FEAR and trembling”

Hebrews 4:1 “Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest,
let us FEAR lest any of you seem to have come short of it.”

Hebrews 12:28 “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken,
let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly FEAR.”

1 Peter 1:13-17 “… rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you
at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves
to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy,
you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”
And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each
    one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in FEAR;

1 Peter 2:17 “Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. FEAR God. Honor the king.”

1 Peter 3:1-2 “… husbands … may be won by the conduct of their wives,
when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by FEAR.

Jude 1:12 “These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you WITHOUT FEAR,
    serving only themselves.”

Of course, these verses don't apply to those trusting in OSAS.
    Praise the Lord.

I had to delete all the Bible verses you quoted because they don't match your words in red.

[1] Fear of God is not a skill to be "honed" or "perfected". One either fears Him or one does not. Fear of God for the Christian is recognizing His hatred of sin and reverencing and respecting God's view of all thing and ergo obeying him.

[2] Reception of eternal life does not require an arsenal of skills from human beings. No skill required. Only God can save. By your assertion in your second sentence, man can save himself if he is skilled enough.

[3] You lie when you say that those who hold the security of the believer do not fear God. I believe in God's ability to hold fast whom He saves. I believe Jesus Christ when He said I cannot be plucked from His hand. I fear God. I understand and believe His GREAT hatred of sin. I do my best to obey and stay away from sin. I don't succeed all of the time because my spirit is at war with my flesh. Any "arsenal" I may have is the armor of the Lord for the fighting of the fiery darts of the evil one. I don't fight this fight to RECEIVE salvation. I already have it. I fight this fight to remain a testimony to the God I love AND fear. And I fight because He tells me to do so.

Your obnoxious and repetitious slander that we who believe that God saves and saves to the uttermost just go around sinning wantonly because we do not fear God nor do we want to obey Him or consider obedience a thing to be desired is one of the most hateful things I keep coming across on the internet.

Those who have most to fear are those unlearned people who believe that God is not able to keep those who belong to Him, those for whom Jesus Christ died. As Jesus Christ said: O ye of little faith?[Matthew 6:30; 8:26; 16:8; Luke 12:28]:tear:

1Jn_4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

So are you suggesting that instead of a 'peace and safety" message, we step up and tell people about the warnings actually found in scripture instead of feeing them man-made traditions about OSAS?

    Sounds unpopular.

The Bible over tradition?? Isn't that risky?

Why can we not just "pretend" that any text you quote that does not fit the popular "peace and safety program" -- is really authored by "you" or that the "mere quote of the text" is in some way "evil"?

The mere quote of a text is often evil. It was the method of your great atheist Madelyn O'Hare used. She would quote a text: "If your eye offends you pluck it out; if your hand offends you cut it off." And then she would rail about how evil the teachings of the Bible are.

Scripture quoted without context is often evil.
But you do the same thing.

    Yes, of course it is!

IMO, I am close to reconciling ALL of the Scriptures re: WHO will receive eternal life.
E.G. my summary will be able to give an answer to ALL verses.
Just need to check again: election, called, chosen, etc.

"pisteou" MUST include obedience ... for it to fit with dozens of verses in the epistles.
I.E. true "pisteou" which saves MUST include continual obedience along with continual faith, etc.
And they are showing me that SOME lexicons do indeed include it with believe, trust, etc.

Warning: IF you come around, I won't have to replace your DHK name with DD.
Time will tell, as they say.

Pisteou or faith is simple trust, confidence in the word of another.
Jesus compared faith to that of a little child. A small child puts faith in his or her parents that they will protect and provide for them. He doesn't put his faith in a stranger to do the same.
Thus faith is not a work. You define it as a work. It is not. It is child-like trust. Works come after initial saving faith--trust in the Savior.

You appear to want to fall on your sword for that idea recently. Insisting that "context" come in the form of "making up entirely new branches of the story" as in the case of Matt 18 and inserting your idea that the one fully forgiven and called wicked (who then gets forgiveness revoked) is NOT the same person as the servant fully forgiven at the start of Christ's illustration.

Seems like an odd place to go for Protestants.

I would have thought it more likely for the Papacy.

    To each his own.

    in Christ,

    Bob

To those who might just have an open mind:

    From elsewhere , naturally ...

HIM: ... love, faith, trust, faithfulness, and diligent obedience (basically, a true relationship)
with and for Messiah and YHVH is required for salvation ...

ME: Yes, and this should be obvious from a somewhat deeper understanding of the NT!
However, most prefer to languish in the misunderstood easy-believism verses, esp. in John's gospel.
To believe (pisteou) must include obedience for the whole NT to make any sense at all.

HIM: I think the main issue is with our mainstream translations. They don't completely communicate
the whole meaning (aspect, tenses, alternative meanings) of the underlying Hebrew or Greek,
and whole theologies and denominations are built on those faulty translations.

What must I do to be saved, asked the Philippian jailer.
Paul did NOT say "Believe and obey," but simply "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ." Obedience (baptism, and following the Lord) came later.

What does hinder me to be baptized, asked the Ethiopian Eunuch.
Philip did not say, "If you do these works then you may," but rather,
If thou believest that Christ is the Son of God, thou mayest.
    He answered. "I believe."
Salvation is based on faith and faith and faith alone. We see that all throughout Scripture. It is never based on works.

For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast.

You are preaching a false gospel.
Paul said that if any man preach such a gospel let him be accursed.
Galatians 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

There are about 100 Scripture verses which absolutely destroy your OSAS doctrine,
starting with 15 verses that teach ...
one must endure with his faith until the end of his life for him to be saved.

Yep, and all taken out of context.
"endure to the end," isn't a full verse is it. Not only have you not quoted the entire verse but the context of the verse is also missing.

The Bible also says "there is no god."
Is that what you teach? That is the type of teaching you are doing here--no context--no meaning. It is pure nonsense.

Debating or discussing Scripture and the Grace of God with Ryan or E-7 is as useless as shoveling sand against the tide. IMO they understand neither!

Bob Ryan and E-7 are on this forum for the purpose of causing trouble, pulling peoples chain by starting false threads, spouting false doctrine, and perverting the Gospel. They post the same Scripture repeatedly, with or without false interpretation. We would all do well to simply ignore their threads. Whether they are real or not I cannot say. I can say that Ryan is pushing a heretical doctrine and E-7 is pushing nonsense.

There is no verse that destroys OSAS.
Your misinterpretation of Scripture leads you to believe that.
Eternal Security is taught from Genesis to Revelation in every book in thousands of Scripture so much so that it could never be erased from the pages of Scripture.
