sad to say this but negative campaigning does work, and that is totally sad, our elections process needs to be fixed, less money, less character assisinations.

The only one I would accept is number one because it is all-American, but then comes the why now and why not the last 7 years? but it will not be seen that way , massive news cycle would benefit Bush/McCain/Palin.

 

The mainstream media's total focus on getting Obama elected can only be overcome by going to the mat with true things that Obama does not want to talk about.

This is serious business. Obama will ruin this country, and his policies may even engender civil strife. If indeed Obama wins, his support will peak on Inauguration day, he will lose his congressional majority in 2010, and the White House in 2012, but by that time, there is no telling how bad things will be.

The blind lemmings who follow this man whose real record, personal characteristics, hatred of America, and radical real program is ignored by the media will all wake up, but I fear too late. The GOP should have started this campaign in June.

 

Sadly I don't think there will be an "October Surprise." I think Obama will continue to hammer Bush and failures of the Bush administration. McCain will contine to not only allow Obama to get away with lying adds but will neither defent himself or tell the truth about Obama because he is afraid of being percieved as negative. Republicans will continue to roll over and play dead and Obama will win by a healthy margin.

Of course then everything Major B said will happen.

 

There is no doubt McCain has gone negative at this point.

 

I wonder myself if George Soros and other left wing finance people are not stoking the fires to make the market even worse.

McCain needs to go for the throat.

I doubt that the idea of acting on Christian principles will even be considered by either campaign the rest of the way.

I think he should use Stephen for a role model. Call them vipers. He should be like Christ, and tell them what happens to people who would trick a widow out of her home. He should be like Daniel, who told it like it was, and didn't worry about the lion's den.

I think people should read their bibles, instead of just standing on them.

 

"He" meaning John McCain? You write like John McCain is some paragon of virtue. IMO, John McCain is not fit to hold the sandals of men such as Jesus, Stephen, or Daniel. Neither is Barack Obama, or you, or me, or any other poster in this forum.

What?? Did you just get here? Obama has been doing this for month after month, even back to the primary season when he went negative against Bush and made the ludicrous claim that the next four years with a Republican president would be a continuation of Bush.

That is so patently stupid that it should never have been said publicly, and should not be defended now. Obama, in allowing this and possibly even believing it, shows that he is utterly unqualified to be president.

Why is that a problem? You are not acting on Christian principles and that doesnt' seem to bother you. Why does it bother you that someone else is not? At least Obama doesn't make a serious claim to be a Christian (serious in terms of the biblical definition).

 

Evidently, the McCain campaign can do or say just about anything for the rest of this campaign in order to try to win and it will be given a pass on this board.

Ya'll can bash me all you want, and much of it is probably deserved, but you McCain supporters and anti-Obama folks aren't exactly covering yourselves with glory during this campaign season, either.

Look guys, why shouldn't it get nasty? Really, if I were to ask John or Barak, "Do you think your presidency would be better for America than the other guy's," what do you think they would say? Do they each really think that they are what is best for America? If not then their entire campaigns are frauds.

No, I think that both of them believe they are best for most Americans. That being said, if your presidency is what is best for America then why would you hold anything back. If you love America then you should be willing to fight for America. If you really believe your administration would be best then you should be willing to fight, claw, lie, steal, cheat, and do anything short of breaking the law to win. To expect anything less is foolish.

If they don't get nasty, if they don't defend themselves, if they don't do everything they can to win, then do they really believe they are what is best for America?

 

Not in my book. I think they are both losers. But let's dispense with the nonsense that only one side is doing it, or that the other just started. They have both done it for a very long time.

 

1. William Ayers is a terrorist. He and his terrorist wife should be doing life without parole. While John McCain was rotting in a prison in defense of our freedom, this far far far left nut case was bombing government buildings, and he is, to this day, unrepentant, wishing he had done more.

2. Barak Obama's political career started in William Ayers' living room, and they have worked on several projects together to radicalize inner city youth, etc.
