I have tried to have discussions and to get involved with discussions on the BB, but I have found that either I am ignored or ridiculed.

I know I dont have 2 or more post graduate degrees from a seminary or a baptist funded university, and I know that I havent been on here for 7 years like some of you, but

Sometimes, when my personal life is stressed, and when I feel lonely and rejected, I get on here to try to forget about my own personal problems for a while, and discuss politics and religion in general. I do enjoy this.

But my experience on this board has been that everyone that doesnt have at least 3,000 posts or is not a seminary professor, or doesnt pastor a mega-church, is not regarded with any respect. In fact, I have been met with complete indignation and treated as if I am intruding on your turf, and am not welcome.

The BB says "welcome" on its ads and banners, but the truth is that you dont really welcome anyone, and you dont even seem to like one another for that matter.

If anyone has a suggestion how a new person can be accepted into your group , then please tell me.

    AJ

Ya'll might as well face it, the BB is an elite club that is easy to join, but is hard to become an accepted member of. You should just change the ads and the membership information to relect the truth.

Welcome AJ. If you only post in the debating forums, you might think you are being ignored. Nevermind, I have all those qualifications and years of experience including thousands of posts, yet, at time, I too am ignored. I just get on with it.

    Cheers,

    Jim

I agree with Jim, post in the fellowship forums and get to know people before you jump in the debate forums.

I don't have any degrees and sometimes I feel like my cheese slid off my cracker, and I get ignored sometimes, laughed at sometimes, ridiculed sometimes.

That happens everyplace...even in real life. I don't let it bother me. It happens to everyone now and then.

Yes, I know, I have a lot of posts and am an adm., that means nothing, I don't get treated with any more respect than anyone else, nor do I expect it.

One thing you might stop doing is advising new members in the Welcome Forum that they will not be accepted. That is uncalled for and only serves to get your posts removed.

One thing I have noticed on this board is that people need to get to know you (via fellowship forums) before they will accept you jumping in and disagreeing with them on a debate forum.
