How come a judge in Alabama is villanized for violating the law but a mayor in San Francisco is praised for bravery at defying the law?

But, I'm not bitter. :D

Well... Two passages of scripture come to mind right away

The Relationship of Believers to the World
John 15:18 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. 21 But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 He who hates Me hates My Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have seen and also hated both Me and My Father. 25 But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, ‘They hated Me without a cause.’

    and

Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, And prudent in their own sight!

The people of the world hate Jesus, and they hate us, were told it would be this way. They call good evil and evil good. We should not be surprized but should be looking up with our "lamps well oiled" and working and watching... our redemption draws very near...

What shall be the sign of Thy coming? What shall be the sign of the end of the age? I think this is but one small example.

It isn't evil = good or good = evil. This is one thing is both evil and good??? It is fun seeing if people can see the contradiction.

They both were/are going against the law and are both in the wrong.

It is the same thing. Some people who support Judge Moore were willing to overlook his faults and praise him because they agreed with him. Some who wish to see gay marriage are willing to overlook the faults because they support the mayor's position. It is all about perspective. But looked at objectively, in both it is violating the law.

Liberal causes will always be the "darling" of the media. They will make it look 10,000 times better and bigger and that EVERYONE must support it. Conservative causes will be on page 17.

Since February is Black History month, the US Civil Rights movement is a great example. It did NOT have huge groundswell support. Not many in America cared about lunch counters or buses.

But the liberal politicians and media made it a cause celebre' and pix on the news each night of police beating a negro or dogs chasing them were common.

IF Christians massed against sodomites or against abortion in the same number, Fox would be the only ones who cared and the major liberal networks would at best villify the "criminals".

Welcome to the "Televised States of America".

Artimaeus, good observation! That one slipped right past me. You're so correct: if a bunch of teachers proclaimed their right to free speech and freedom of religion and started discussing their Christian, or Buddhist, or Hindu, beliefs with students, in defiance of "law," there would be an outcry from the media idiots and ACLU. But let a bunch of perverted freaks destroy marriage and they throw a party. Okay, the evil people are acting like they are already living in hell--so let's act like we're already living in heaven. That's how I see it. Light shines brighter in the darkest realms of night.
