    Cereal Straws

Now they have cereal straws. My kids love them and you must use a cup to eat them. They are in my opinion the best new breakfast thing to happen in a long time. Try 'em.

That's where the problem lies. You don't use a fork, you're supposed to use a funnel. And just pour it all in it.

Oh yeah, insert the smaller end of the funnel into your mouth, for the best results!

    Cereal?? As in spelled " C - e - r - e - a - l ??" What is that stuff, really?

    Can it be spelled "b - r - e - a - d" -- "a-n-d" -- "g - r - a - v - y" ?

If so, I have some really good suggestions on how to eat it!

    (1.) Often,

(2.) and with sliced tomatoes, preferably "home grown",

    (3.) made with milk,

(4.) with some extra pepper sprinkled on it,

(5.) and along with sausage and scrambled eggs!

P.S. In a pinch, one could substitute creamed chipped beef on toast for the suasage and gravy!

Or even biscuits for bread, but they are really better when buttered, with sorghum molasses, honey, or maple syrup!

I see I must educate you all to the proper way of eating cereal. PastorSBC, "we have a list of rules I'll be sure to get to you."

First, you must define cereal. If cereal to you is marketed primarily for its health, has pictues of wheat on the box, or has the word bran without a dried fruit associated with it, and you are not planning to add an unreal amount of sugar to it, then you need to eat your cereal from a small bowl, with a dainty spoon, on a table with a table cloth while browsing the wall street journal. You are so clearly a grown up I don't know why you are reading a thread about cereal. You are dismissed from this class.

Now for the rest of us:

    1) Bowl or cup doesn't matter so long as what you use is large enough to make the aformentioned group scold you for your childish ways.

    2) Begin with a healthy amount of cereal and a healthy amount of milk and enjoy

    3) When finished DO NOT DRINK YOU MILK. Instead, add a second helping of cereal and enjoy again. Ignore the member of the aformentioned group who is most likely now giving you a lecture on carbs, junk food, or something.

    4) Having completed your second helping, drink your milk, which now contains all the sugary goodness of the cereal. Slurp loudly to drowned out the continuing lecture from the grown up.

    5) If there are children in the house, be sure to announce that this cereal is your cereal and keep in on a high shelf. Don't share it with the children unless your grown up spouse is out of the house and you can teach your child properly in the matters of slurping.

my dad's a bit older now, and he eats "all bran" cereal every day.

A few weeks ago at the store, I found a box & read the directions:

I have a couple of co-workers who eat cereal from a cup, but for me I want the bowl because I can put more cereal in it.
