With all the debates about this and that, I thought many of you would thoroughly enjoy this video. Because I have a severe fear of heights, I had a difficult time watching this to the end.

I'd like to hear from any of you and what you thought, felt, and experienced as this guy ascended the tower.

Wait for the short cartoon intro to finish, then hold on to your seat.

Hold onto your seat is right. Brother, that was pretty high, palms of my hands were sweating.

The thing that made it bad was the camera jostling around so much, makes one dizzy. That right there has got to be a high paying job...

    Thanks for sharing.

I watched the first minute or so of both videos and that's all I could handle.

The TV station I worked for in Paducah had a transmission tower that was 1637 feet tall. It took almost an hour to climb to the top, but about 30 minutes to climb down. Why climb to the top? To change the bulb in the beacon.

I don't know what it is today, but we're talking four figures a few years ago.

I don't think they could pay me enough money to do it.

The video wasn't scary, but that's because I'm firmly on the ground!

I would NEVER be able to do this. I would be hard-pressed to climb up 50 feet.

I didn't think it would matter, or that you would care. After all, it had to do with heights.

That was a rush. When I was young I climbed to the very top of a 140ft water tower to remove a lock for a contractor, but it didn't even compare to that!

    Thanks for sharing that RD.

Years ago I had an electrician friend who changed a bulb once per month on a tower. This was 1984, I know it was high, around 1000 feet, and he got paid 800.00 for that. He was in his late 50's to early 60's, in good shape. Back then that was a lot of money.

Hey, once you're at that height...you don't have to worry about falling and being badly hurt.

Climbing a 50-foot tower...maybe broken bones, or paralysis.

Fall off of this one, and your next stop is Glory.

I've climbed a 300' microwave tower on a dare but there's no way I'd would climb like those guys. You couldn't pay me enough. I'd freeze and have to be rescued.

I jumped out of planes at 1000 feet, but not sure I would climb any of those towers!

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Were You IN the Paratroopers?

Were your jumping days part of the military?

I'm with you, I'd NEVER go ten feet on that thing.

    Best response so far!!!

Not that all of the responses weren't great, but, OBG is right. The rapture may catch us a little off guard, as we all fly together, one in the King. We won't need to pack 'cause He has everything (we need). :applause:

Thanks for the neat thought. I was provoking!
