We've been attending our current church for 12 years and went to our old church for 13 years. Before that, I wasn't always consistently attending.

Pretty much all my life. My parents took me to church (sometimes kicking and screaming) as a child, and I've kept right on going. Now, as a pastor, I'm still attending church!

Actually I always went to church on a regular basis, but it was a Catholic church, so I guess I've gone longer than 32 years (I don't usually count the time I spent at mass as church)...

January 24, 1976 was the day Jesus saved me and plopped me down in a Baptist church. :godisgood:

Ever since I can remember except a couple of years early in our marriage when we were having marriage trouble and dead church problems and his parents (who's church we were members of) were having marriage problems and all of us quit going regularly.

Eventually I found my way back to that same church, for lack of a better place to go. Just me and the kids for years. Then we moved to the church we attend now and DH parents started going back to the original church (not so dead as it once was). One of these days DH will go back. Till then, me and kids will keep on!

About 25 years. There was a brief period I did not attend my home church, it was called Desert Storm. I prayed everyday though does that count? :praying:

It is interesting that most here would consider themselves older Christians (or, at minimum, older church attenders.

Since before I was born. LOL Both my grandfather's were Baptist preachers, and my parents and grandparents have been in church all their lives, too.

Gotta ask, have you ever been taken to church, kickin and screamin since you have been a pastor?

I've been going pretty much my whole life, except for about 2 months... when I was a teen.

Next month I will be three-score-and-ten. I am told that I was carted off to church for attendance in the nursery department ... and have never stopped.

But we ought to remind ourselves that none of that counts for anything ... it is only the surpassing love of Christ that counts, right?

19 years. It would be 25, but there was a gap of about 8 months in 1987 when I took a job which for that span of time required me to work every Sunday. Also, there was that 6-year period earlier in life in which I attended regularly, followed by 8 years of almost non-attendance.

I presumed the poll is asking about our 'current streak,' so that's why I said 19, but actually voted for 25. But how long must a 'gap' be to end a streak? 8 years?-- yes; 8 months because of a job?-- maybe, but I assumed no. But what if you, for instance, get mad at your church and don't go for a year or so?

Since I was saved in 1947--at age nine. So that's 60-plus years.
