How many Bible versions do you own? Old and New Testament, any language, book form,(not on-line).

Hey, this is kind of a cool poll. [IMG] I easily voted "5 or more", as I have a fairly sizeable collection. Granny would probably get upset at my collection of sticks. ;) I'm sure many of us have some good collections, and it might be interesting to have people list some of the more interesting or uncommon Bibles they have. And I'm also interested to know if any of you are interested in selling/trading, to help us expand our collections. I regularly go foraging through used book stores and ebay for new goodies. [IMG] (I also collect books by Westcott and/or Hort if anyone is selling...)

Hey,BrianT! It don't matter(to me) what kind of collection ya have, but guess ya can figure out who the one who's voted (1) so far is, & that it's the KingJames, huh? ;)

Only one stick? But "the best way to see if a stick is crooked is to place a straight one down beside it". You need at least two sticks. [IMG]

"And how right you are! But that don't mean I gotta have it in my home---I've been in other places where 'scriptures' were read(didn't match up with mine) & of course, since having recently discovered the 'net, what's found there.

Guess you think I've kind of missed out on a lot in life, huh? :)

"Now that's just about one of the nicest & bestest compliments I've ever gotten! I have never been ashamed of my stand & the more folks try to disuade me, the harder I dig-in & hold on to my beliefs.

These mvs/smorgasboard are not Bibles and cannot even present a united front; no wonder this old world is in the mess it's in. The KJBible is the anchor to my soul.

5 or more? That's all? I've easily got a dozen, but that's what Bible software will do for you :D

arch-KJBO defender estimates at least 136 Substantial Changes between the 1611 n the 1769 revisions of the KJB.

how many differences does it take for 2 sticks to be crooked?

    ;)

Jesus is mine. Maybe that's the real issue behind KJV-onlyism.

Forever settled in heaven said: "arch-KJBO defender estimates at least 136 Substantial Changes between the 1611 n the 1769 revisions of the KJB. how many differences does it take for 2 sticks to be crooked?" to which Granny responded:

Good one Granny! Nobody notices the sneaky way you avoid simple, direct questions and make personal attacks instead. :( Ya know, Christians should be honest - even with themselves.

Dunno what ya mean(ism/schism); but I do know our eternal soul was created by God & cannot be secure until His PERFECT revelation is our anchor, son.

Yes, our soul cannot be secure until the KJV is our anchor. Interesting addition/change to the gospel message you have there, Granny.

"No change to the gospel message, dear. When I read my KJBible, I have a PERFECT revelation of WHO Jesus is. I was saved by it, as were my grandparents & theirs, & so on.

Have you ever checked out some of these profiles? Why do you think there's so many "searching" or "undecideds" or non-whatevers? They don't have a clue as to what Life's all about & I feel sorry for them-but there is an answer & I found it a long long time ago.

Now you're changing your answer. Who/what is your anchor: the KJV or Jesus? If Jesus, why did you disagree with me when I said mine was Jesus?

I was saved by Jesus, not the KJV. There is "only" one name under heaven whereby we must be saved - and it ain't "KJV".

I don't know. I'm glad you've found the answer. Now if you just try providing some. [IMG] [IMG]

"Hmmmmm~I find it interesting that of all the posts, you'd pick mine; should I be flattered or intimidated?

Well, Chris, the KJBible DOES command every child of God to "Be sober, be vigilant..." Why??? (sshh~I'll give ya a hint just in case you're using one of them that omits whole verses;) It's because of our dangerous opponent, our greatest adversary, one who will intimidate us in every possible way. 1Peter 5:8 "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

    Thanks Chris. [IMG]

Does anyone else here collect Bible versions or have any interesting Bibles (because of age, features, etc.) they want to mention?
