I love Logos - but my wallet doesn't. I should have gone ahead and bought the program because I think I've paid as much with all the additions for WordSearch.

I use Esword, Blue Letter Bible, and Bible Gateway...all free except for some copyrighted versions.

True. I purchased the NASB for e-sword and made an ESV Bible module myself for mysword for personal use.

Hey, everyone, coincidentally my expert son (a newly minted Ph.D.) has just blogged on Bible software at: http://paroikosmissionarykid.blogspot.jp/

He includes a link in the essay to a fun satire on the subject, "Dear Presbyter, Bring Your Scroll to Church."

Which Logos package did you buy, the all included one? And how much of it deals with the original languages?

I've had Logos since day one. I sold it in bookstores for 10 years and got a lot of free and discounted books over the years. I have the original language study pack from years ago and have bought a lot of great books through community pricing. I'm now on Logos 5.

I have a large Logos library, with emphasis on original language studies, but all on Logos 3 never could afford to update!

Try calling Logos on their 800 number to see about downloading a free update - they may even send you out a disc if necessary just to get you in the game.

There are free products offered monthly to entice you buy more - but you don't have to buy.

Upgrades from Logos 3 to Logos 5 are offered for a minimal price (~$150)
But beware Logos 5 works best with higher speed computers.
