--------------------------------------------------

NKJV=nothing but the Holy Bible
NIV=nothing but the Holy Bible
NASB=nothing but the Holy Bible
Holman=nothing but the Holy Bible
RSV=Nothing but the Holy Bible
And there are other reliable versions that are nothing but the Holy Bible.

--------------------------------------------------

And here is my correction to you on your part:

<Baptent attack on the Word of God deleted>
Out of your own mouths say so, and your use of many of them and your reasons for such, proves this is so. You have all made it quite clear, than none of us can have a Holy Bible.

Michelle,

You have gone from just being ridiculous and confused to slandering the very Word of God. I fear for you as you will stand before Him someday. Every person on here has shared how they love the Word of God, no one has slandered the KJV, and most prefer it, but you can't see that. I fear you are hopeless, and again I state that you have crossed the line. You have called that which is holy, unholy. You really need to repent of this slanderous attack on God's Word.

I believe, and many others believe we have the Holy Bible. You all claim that we cannot, do not and those of us that do, are believing in false doctrine and man made myths. If I were you, I would repent, as none of you believe you have a Holy Bible. Sure, you believe you have the Bible, but you do not believe it is Holy. No room for alterations or errors in the definition of and truth of the word Holy.

When Jesus lived there were several translations but never once can I ever think of a single time that he ever made it an issue.

His whole agenda was what did god want. Most of the people could not even read but they could follow Him. The real issue is not about translations but about the heart. I can argue about translations but I could never argue about a man who knows and loves God.

Maam,

You do not speak for me. And it is not your standard of truth that determines what truth is. I have never attacked the Bible you use and neither has anyone else on this board. You have shown yourself to be ignorant of the truth. You continue to attack the Word of God. I fear for you and I believe I will take the advice of the Scriptures and quit casting my pearls before swine.

38 years ago, at a month short of 10, I was saved. My dad led me to the Lord. When I went forward publicly, our pastor prayed with me. My dad was a deacon and my grandpa was a trustee. My mon and grandma taught 4-5 year olds in Sunday School. I`m familiar with various versions. I used to have my computer set up for 4 versions. After everything over the past 38 years, I`m KJVO.

Thank you for sharing your testimony. I praise the Lord for your salvation. [IMG] I always love hearing the testimony of others, and what the Lord has done for us all. What a wonderful Saviour we all serve.

I am a Bible believer who only use the KJV, the Bible because I reverence God's Words. I by faith believe the KJV is the inspired, preserved Word of God. I also believe the KJV superiority over modern versions because it is still alive for almost 400 years. I researched and found out that the KJV is the most translation than any modern versions because of God's promise of the preservation of the Holy Scriptures. My belief is that God provides you one Book for your one tongue such as Romans 16:26. God gave His one Book to EACH nation around the whole world. Many French-speaking people have their accurate Bible in their true mother tongue. Many Russian-speaking people have their accurate Bible in their true mother tongue. And many foreign accurate Bibles that God provided them for their mother tongue, are anywhere they can hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you favor modern versions, God allows that happens because He will test you and see how/what you have modern versions as 1 John 4:1; Romans 1:25. If any one said, "orginals" or "according to early MSS," I can see they are <attack deleted> Christians. I am a believing Bible Christian that is why I only use the KJV. Glory God the Father! Glory the God the Son Jesus Christ!

That is exactly the reason why years ago I wanted to study Greek and Hebrew text of scripture. I wanted to know those nuggets of truth not just rely on the opinion of others. The more I study Hebrew and Greek and practice my faith the more I see a truer picture of God. The more I know Him the more I love Him and the bolder I get.

What about those who didn't have the KJV in 1610 in England?

Sheer lunacy. You still can't see that the version you choose to use came from the Greek text. You would not have your favorite version with no Greek text. Your above statement would be funny if it was not an <snipped> attack on other's faith.

Out of curiosity, what made you doubt the scriptures in your own language to even give you the thought/need to go to a foriegn language to know God and love God more? What made you doubt that God wonderfully provided for you, and many other generations of English speaking peoples His perfect words and that you can do this in with the scriptures in your native tongue? I would much rather learn with understanding in my own native tongue which is well known to me, than a foriegn one - to which I would have to rely more upon the interpretations of other men of that language. I would rather rely upon God to give me understanding, when it is His will. God has promised, if we ask, we shall recieve. Many times, God even gives, without our even having to ask. How wonderful a Saviour we serve!

Please don't get me wrong, if this is what you needed to do, and you love God more because of it then I say Amen! But many others do not have this same need, and grow, learn and love the Lord more everytime we read our scriptures in our own native and familiar tongue.

Askjo,

Your going to have to help me out here. How does your original statement which I quoted have anything to do with what you said above? You said that if someone talked about the originals or the MSS they did not believe the Bible.
