How much say should government have in the church?

    I think that a church is a benefit to the community and therefore they WANT the church to be in the area so going tax-free makes it good for a church to stay.

    Approxametly 50% of Syacuse, NY is tax exempt. That includes schools, churches, social non-profits, colleges, and ect.

    All that does is increas the tax burden on the remainder of the property owners.

    Also, many services are povided by the city, such as snow plowing, trash pick up and ect.

    But then again, if we went to a straignt Electronic tax, that would end all other taxes!
