What I am really trying to find out is a nuts and bolts question.I see the arguements againt the Roman Road, against easy beleivism. Some explanations I see on this board demonstrate to me you must first be using the correct version of the Bible. Then you must follow steps 1 through 99. The poor unsaved person just does'nt have time to go to Bible college then through seminary to figure out how to get saved.
I am a strong believer in personal evangelism.I try to practice it daily.I witness and pass out tracts. I don't always get to see the fruit of my efforts.I do realize ,I am just making the introduction it is God who does the saving.
I have used the Roman Road more times than I can say.I have seen many come to the Lord.By the way I don't know anybody who uses the Roman Road who does not explain that repentance is necessary and that repentance is sorow for sin and a change of heart and direction in practice.

    Dear Brother,
All I can say to you is that the Holy Spirit does all the teaching. I have never seen anyone who is/has repented that ever needed any real counseling from any man.

This, imho, is due to the visitation of the Holy Spirit upon them.

It is the greatest mystery that we may never understand.

    My Dear Freind Bro. Dallas,
I understand what you are saying and agree with you. However I also take the great commission as an instruction given to all Christians.

Amen to that, check out my 'look at Acts 11.19' It is a result of a challenge from a fellow landmark missionary baptist for me to prove the 'chain/link' landmark doctrine.

I am chain-link, and the brother challenging me is also, but is not as strict as most 'chain/linkers'. [Neither am I really].

However, having challenged me, he now will not respond to my postings (this is on another board), so I put it on the good ole BB, the link is below:

    A Look at Acts 11.19

To be saved we simply have to repent which means to Turn From Sin ( we do this by grace through faith in Jesus). We are to follow the command and the example of Jesus to be Baptized.
To be a disciple we deny ourselves, Take up our cross daily , and follow Jesus.
We must run the race by laying away the weights and the sin that besets us. We must also beware of the leaven of the pharisees and be careful to not quinch the Spirit.
