Did anyone see Huckabee on the O'Reilly Factor? Is he afraid to proclaim that Jesus is the ONLY way to Heaven? I thought he was a Southern Baptist Pastor at one time.

Huckabee is a polititian first and a Baptist minister second. If he speaks his mind and heart he will end up being castigated by the press and by all the liberal "christians" on this board just like Jerry Falwell.

His thoughts about what we should do about illegal immigrants are probably considered by most of us to be overly charitable, and his foreign relations exeprience is nill, but I think he may be the candidate I most agree with. Seems to be a good man, unpretentious, running for the right reasons.

He needs money, and I can't help much there!

It didn't sound like he was afraid to say it....he was being cautious about saying it as a President...that it wasn't the president's job.

I didn't think he seemed all that bad. I like his witty, kind of relaxed humor. The fact that he isn't an uptight politician is a plus. It's a shame that his lack of money is keeping him out of the picture....but it seems he's moving up. I've recently read he'd be the perfect V.P. for Romney or Giuliani, since those guys aren't exactly rallying the conservative Christian votes.

I'd hate to see him hook up with either of those guys -- a powerless VP brought along just to appease a voter block. Puh-leeeze don't let it be!

Huckabee is the perfect candidate for anyone looking for someone who raised taxes, was soft on crime, and wanted to give tax-payer funded scholarships to the children of illegal aliens.

Wouldn't he consider himself a Christian first who happens to be a politician. From what I have heard and other people on radio talk shows and such, I felt like I was listening to Joel Osteen's Larry King Live interview all over again.

    <hijack>

Which raises an interesting point... If Osteen were to run for President could he be the first Republican to carry the black vote?

It saddened me to see him avoid directly answering the question. Oreilly asked him three times and he would not give the TRUTH!

Here is what is so sad. As someone pointed out, a Christian SHOULD be Christ first, Truth first. There are millions of lost souls out there and when a Christian is given a platform to reach hundreds of thousands of viewers in one setting he sure ought to sit up straight and proclaim that which he knows is a FACT.

Does Huckabee believe that his careful ear tickling words will gain him the postion, or should he be straight forward honest and let God move the hearts of men to vote for him?

I good solid answer would have been..."Bill, I believe the Christian Holy Bible is the very Word of God to all mankind, and God said in that Bible that salvation for all of mankind is only through faith in Jesus Christ".

I like listening to Bill O's programs and like the way he challenges secular progressives. But when he starts in on the Bible he is absolutely CLUELESS!

He has said that the OT is NOT history, that it is just parables, not true stories. Someone has really put some garb into his head when it comes to scripture. He doesn't believe there was really an Adam and Eve that God created, this is why he asked Huckabee about it. He said that all people could not be decendants of just two (an Adam and Eve) because incest would have had to happen and God forbids incest. Clueless he is. Anytime Bill starts saying something about the Word of God I think here we go again!

I heard him say that the reason he likes Catholicism is because it is all inclusive and believes that all religions have a way to enter into heaven. He doesn't even know what his own church actually believes and preaches.

And he has received hundreds if not thousands of emails trying to set him straight but he refuses to acknowledge them and dismisses them outright if they even begin to say that Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved.

I like his shows, but he hasn't a clue about the Bible.

    God Bless!
