    Pine trees are always the first to go! I had the last one of mine that was close to the house cut down last year. Katrina could have pushed it right over onto the house as it was already leaning in that direction.

    We missed most of it.

    Winds currently blowing about 30mph.

    Very little rain.

    We dodged the bullet on this one!

    I wanted to share an outstanding testimony about how God uses people through this storm. This was an email sent by the mother of one of the ladies in my Sunday School class. She sent it last Friday afternoon when Rita was approaching, and people who were trying to evacuate were stuck in a massive traffic jam. She lives in Huntsville which is about 70 miles north of Houston. I am using it with her permission.

    I have been so blessed by this testimony! This lady truly exhibited the love of Christ with her actions, but we don't hear much about people like her or stories like this.
