    all thy faithful mercies crown
    Jesus thou art all compassion
    pure, unbounded love thou art

    You are MOST welcome my friend.

    Do you know this one? The chorus is;

    Some day, beyond the reach of mortal ken,
    Some day, God only knows just where or when,
    The wheels of mortal life shall all stand still,
    And I shall go to dwell on Zion's Hill!

    Unfortunately I can't find it on Cyber Hymnal. [IMG] It is a favorite of mine.

    In HIS service;
    Jim

    When I first saw the Lord and entered Church, how I loved Sunday mornings, this one of Wesleys used to thrill me...

    O Thou Who camest from above,
    The pure celestial fire to impart,
    Kindle a flame of sacred love
    Upon the mean altar of my heart.

    There let it for Thy glory burn
    With inextinguishable blaze,
    And trembling to its source return,
    In humble prayer and fervent praise.

    Jesus, confirm my heart’s desire
    To work and speak and think for Thee;
    Still let me guard the holy fire,
    And still stir up Thy gift in me.

    Ready for all Thy perfect will,
    My acts of faith and love repeat,
    Till death Thy endless mercies seal,
    And make my sacrifice complete.

    And can it be that I should gain
    An interest in the Savior’s blood?
    Died He for me, who caused His pain—
    For me, who Him to death pursued?
    Amazing love! How can it be,
    That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?
    Amazing love! How can it be,
    That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

    ’Tis mystery all: th’Immortal dies:
    Who can explore His strange design?
    In vain the firstborn seraph tries
    To sound the depths of love divine.
    ’Tis mercy all! Let earth adore,
    Let angel minds inquire no more.
    ’Tis mercy all! Let earth adore;
    Let angel minds inquire no more.

    He left His Father’s throne above
    So free, so infinite His grace—
    Emptied Himself of all but love,
    And bled for Adam’s helpless race:
    ’Tis mercy all, immense and free,
    For O my God, it found out me!
    ’Tis mercy all, immense and free,
    For O my God, it found out me!

    Long my imprisoned spirit lay,
    Fast bound in sin and nature’s night;
    Thine eye diffused a quickening ray—
    I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;
    My chains fell off, my heart was free,
    I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.
    My chains fell off, my heart was free,
    I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.

    Still the small inward voice I hear,
    That whispers all my sins forgiven;
    Still the atoning blood is near,
    That quenched the wrath of hostile Heaven.
    I feel the life His wounds impart;
    I feel the Savior in my heart.
    I feel the life His wounds impart;
    I feel the Savior in my heart.

    No condemnation now I dread;
    Jesus, and all in Him, is mine;
    Alive in Him, my living Head,
    And clothed in righteousness divine,
    Bold I approach th’eternal throne,
    And claim the crown, through Christ my own.
    Bold I approach th’eternal throne,
    And claim the crown, through Christ my own.

    Has always thrilled my soul!

    Yes...Wesley is a gifted man. Both "was" and "is"!

    In HIS service;
    Jim

    The King of love my Shepherd is,
    Whose goodness faileth never,
    I nothing lack if I am His
    And He is mine forever.

    Where streams of living water flow
    My ransomed soul He leadeth,
    And where the verdant pastures grow,
    With food celestial feedeth.

    Perverse and foolish oft I strayed,
    But yet in love He sought me,
    And on His shoulder gently laid,
    And home, rejoicing, brought me.

    In death’s dark vale I fear no ill
    With Thee, dear Lord, beside me;
    Thy rod and staff my comfort still,
    Thy cross before to guide me.

    Thou spread’st a table in my sight;
    Thy unction grace bestoweth;
    And O what transport of delight
    From Thy pure chalice floweth!

    And so through all the length of days
    Thy goodness faileth never;
    Good Shepherd, may I sing Thy praise
    Within Thy house forever.

    The old photos are great, dust and bones now and a bright resurrection morning assured [IMG]

    I thought you might like that site. :D
    I have spent literally hours upon hours listening, singing along, and reading the stories.

    What a blessing!

    “Ah! do not of My goodness doubt;
    My saving grace for all is free;
    I will in no wise cast him out
    That comes a sinner unto Me;
    I can to none Myself deny,
    Why, sinners, will ye perish, why?”

    Jim,
    I have sent another place by PM to you, for you to look at for the music you wanted - I am not very clever on the computer, so all I did was to paste the whole chorus into `Ask Jeeves` search engine and there came up lots of places with links to this hymn,hope you find what you are looking for.

    While I`m here , I may as well post my personal favourite.........
    One day when heaven was filled with His praises,
    One day when sin was as black as could be,
    Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin,
    Dwelt among men, my Example is He!

    Refrain

    Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;
    Buried He carried my sins far away;
    Rising, He justified freely forever;
    One day He’s coming—O glorious day!

    One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain,
    One day they nailed Him to die on the tree;
    Suffering anguish, despised and rejected:
    Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He!

    Refrain

    One day they left Him alone in the garden,
    One day He rested, from suffering free;
    Angels came down o’er His tomb to keep vigil;
    Hope of the hopeless, my Savior is He!

    Refrain

    One day the grave could conceal Him no longer,
    One day the stone rolled away from the door;
    Then He arose, over death He had conquered;
    Now is ascended, my Lord evermore!

    Refrain

    One day the trumpet will sound for His coming,
    One day the skies with His glories will shine;
    Wonderful day, my belovèd ones bringing;
    Glorious Savior, this Jesus is mine!

    Refrain
