I won't be able to post here after today. I am heading to Guantanamo Bay for detention.
Apparently the Bush Admn got hold of the abortion poll thread and is going to send me there as a terrorist.

I have enjoyed meeting Baptists and others here that have spiritedly defended their beliefs.

I have not particularly enjoyed those here that are anti-Catholic and mock, ridicule, etc other beliefs. They could have made the same points (some good) without their bitter comments.

I can't say I have enjoyed being called a "sub-Christian", that I "clearly have causes which believe justify certain terrorist activities", that I "should be an outlaw" and that is just in one thread for trying to point out a difference between crimes against people and crimes against property.

Unfortunately I will probably remember those that are reckless with their words and mean-spritited.
Thanks for an introduction to Baptist thinking.

Though we may mock, we do not threaten to destroy, purpose to destroy, nor support the destruction of Catholic churches nor do we threaten, purpose, or support bodily injury nor do we threaten, purpose, or support death to Catholic people. In fact, I was very enraged when Muslim terrorists set the church of the Nativity on fire, even though that is a Catholic church. The Roman Catholic church is more injurous to humanity than all the abortion clinics in the world combined, but terrorism is NOT the solution -- teaching the truth of God's Word is the solution.

How nice that the FBI now allows alleged terrorists a day to get there stuff together and access to the internet before detaining them!

...or are you making some dramatic point?...

If that's a good-bye post, then good riddance. Never ceases to amaze me, after all the posts telling us baptists are wrong about everything, when we retort, we're mean spirited, and accused of considering all others "sub christian".

    Cry me a river.

I didn't realize this thread gave you all license to make fun of and insult another person.

    What would Jesus have done?

Jesus never condoned terrorism.</font>[/QUOTE]Jesus also didn't roll his eyes, make jokes about, speak in a mean nature, nor defend those who did. "Let he without sin cast the first stone." Jesus never made fun of those who disagreed with; he loved them.

You can hate, and even revile an action, while still loving and uplifting the individual.

    God bless,

I agree, the way people are openly targeted for their opinion stinks. Jesus did not do it, so that might be a key in this.

    All I'll say is:

Jesus was a lot quieter when he was crucified. He didnt attempt to draw attention to himself, and he didn't attempt to throw guilt around while he was up there. Instead it was "father forgive them."

I never defended his post. I'm saying your response made matters worse.

Well, if you're really going to Gitmo, enjoy the food!

From what I've read & heard, prisoners there eat better food than our troops & get hot showers while our military men & women have to take cold ones!

Besides...the weather down there isn't too shabby either! Southern breezes, fresh salt water air, sunshine, beaches, outdoors.....hmmmmm.

From an outsider's point of view, this is often true. I have felt it myself. I am not saying that you personally do this, but there are many at this board who do.

    Interesting...

I don't know what else to say as I sit here and giggle [IMG]

Perhaps the FBI gave him a coutesy call the day before and said "Hey Mr. Dan P.C. we just wanted to make sure you were available tommorrow because we thought we might stop by and hog-tie you, shove some duct tape in your mouth, wisk you away in a black car, put you on a cargo plane, and ship you to a communist Island"

    Interesting...

Good ole feds - I bet anything they have Internet crawler programs that search through different forums and look for key words. If it keeps lunatics off the streets, good for them.
