According to my dictionary, the word decease means death--do you mean a biological brain death? If the brain is dead, no drugs are going to help it. It might be a good idea to use a dictionary and say what you mean using the correct words in the correct context.:tonofbricks:I believe you probably meant to use the word disease.

I teach 8th graders. I do this at least once a day whether I feel like it or not.

Of course I also eat chocolate and drink coffee too . . .

My wife is retired as of 5 years now from teaching 4th grade for over 30 years. I know what you mean, you job never ends. People don't know how hard a teacher must work after getting home in the evening. Bless,

You know I am not a bad speller and a good typist too but I think my brain gets ahead of my fingers on here or bad keyboard one for I sure make a lot of mistakes.

    WARNING!

The above can lead to the early symptoms of Old-Timers disease, with no drugs needed.

I for one refuse to get old. I may beat my head against the wall, but I will not succumb to any old-timers disease! *stomp*

You are right Linda I mis-spelled the word. Man I didn't know my 3rd grade teacher , Mrs. Karkula was going to show up on the BB. Now with the proper word, disease, inserted can I get an answer or am I prophetic and I am going to regret even bringing this up?

    ***Personal insult removed***

IF YOU READ THE BOOK, you will find he is comparing the directions for building a red wagon and the directions for building a space ship (the UFO was the artist's idea...) and showing that all the 'mistakes' in the first cannot possibly result in the second. If you look at the front cover under the 'UFO' you will see that it is a long library of books and the word printed along the corridor of the library is 'genome'.

As for being on the Raelian page, that is an absurd jump for you to make. My husband's work is disputed by many, many people, and he is almost idolized by just as many! He is referred to on pages we consider junk science. We do not sue. We do not do anything. We figure that at least people will read his material that way and it is a total waste of time for us to try to hunt down all the references being made to him and make sure they are all accurate. I am quite sure Dr. Sanford feels the same way.

The book is good, solid science. The man is a good, solid Christian. And you need to remember that as you judge you will be judged -- and I sincerely doubt you want to be judged as hastily as you seem to be willing to judge others.

The Word of God is the only Science Book, History Book, Geography Book, Social Studies Book, and only Poetry Book that is solid truth.

I would not walk across the street to read about genomes and that other junk. What are they doing to glorify God?

    Nothing!

They fill man's head with knowledge that does nothing to bring man into a close relationship with Jesus Christ.

What silliness above. I would encourage you to research the origin and philosophy of science because you may be surprised that Christianity was right in the center of it. I would encourage you to read R. Hooykaas's "Religion and the Rise of Modern Science." It would at least give you a better frame of reference to see all that you are rejecting.

I'd rather go across the street to get a Rand McNally atlas than try to find out how to get from Grand Rapids to Saginaw in my Bible :)

So children can be educated without school books...

Does that mean that the Christian school books based on the Word of God are probably full of untruths also?

hmmmm... IamB16 makes a great point. According to your post education must be a complete waste of time. I guess ignorance really must be bliss. Personally, I would rather have a strong understanding of what is out there in the fields of science, history, geography, literature, and social studies in order to have intelligent conversations where I can coherently present my point of view.

    repeating my question for DITW:

Is taking prescription pain medication for, let's say, grade-2 spondyloisthesis/degenerating vertebrae (L3-5)...is that sinful?

    Hmmmm?

    Still awaiting your reply.

You surely don't mean that..... after all Luke was a physician. He didn't learn his stuff from the Bible.

Please say you are not advocating ignorance....

Back off people. I said the Word of God is the only solid truth. Those other books may have knowledge, but they do nothing to promote a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul put it so well, knowledge puffeth up. You can read all those books, know every crack and corner of every town, city and country in the world, but they can't point you to Jesus.

Nor can studying the human genome point one to Christ.

The Bible is the only solid book of truth.

    BINGO!

What does it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul? or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
